One question in wondering about. He was granted a waiver, is he still a sophomore or a junior? Wouldnt he be a sophomore starting the second semester wothout the waiver? And with the waiver if hes still a sophomore that would be kinda crazy with him basically given 4.5 years of college ball.

Yea that forced entry into the paint that resulted in a turnover was a thing of beauty.
Couple assists and a drive that resulted with a fade away in a big mans face. Didnt say he was killing it just said he looks pretty decent. I dont like him as much as the next guy but its not like I was lying lol.

I don’t think anyone had a problem with Quade’s offense here. Just his size and defense made us not be able to rely on him. We see this in how good our guards are now playing defense. Those are the guards we need because we rely on freshman for everything.

Quade would still be our fourth guard in the rotation.

He, Stewart, and Jaden CuckDaniels will feature quite the trio as they hide from competition at Washington.

I wish him well and I hope Washington is UK's 8 or 9 seed in March.

I suspect they will be the typical awesome 8:9 that everyone picks to have a chance at the final four and then promptly lost by 20 in the round of 32.

To be fair we have one actually true point guard, and his shooting is pretty bad but great at everything else for the most part.

The difference is Hagans would still score on Matador Green whereas Matador would struggle to score against Hagans.

I like Hagans, but his shooting and ability to finish layups after making great moves to get an easy layup still have much to be desired.

Green had so many issues...

His offense was atrocious. He wasted possession so easily....he was TO waiting to happen.

Let's see if he learned.

IQ is a true PG too...he just has hardly had a chance to play the position because of Hagans. Maxey is a combo guard by definition but he will be a PG in the league. I can't agree...all 3 would be able to run the show and I think all 3 are more of a PG than Quade.

Agree. Quade is a 6ft tall shooting guard with minimal athletic ability and doesn't have great foot speed.

I'm watching the "next Durant" tonight for Washington.

It's kind of sad watching him waste his defensive potential in a goofy 2-3 zone.

Quade looks pretty bad in this game so far. He would be 4th guard in the rotation. He made a good decision transferring.

I have been impressed with McDaniels though. Kid has far more talent and fluidity to his game than I thought. Polar opposite of Wenyen and would have been a very good addition to our team.

Maybe I missed Quade's fantastic start but he's looked like crap since I tuned in. He'd be riding the pine at UK. Good for him transferring.

Would any of you trade EJ for McDaniels?

Wasn't that the false choice that was presented to us by the gurus last spring?

Listen, I as much as the next guy thinks quade sucked here and wasnt a good fit. He shot way too many 3s outside the rhythm of the offense, many careless turnovers, he sucked on defense, though I will say I feel like that was moreso a work ethic thing because though the moments were far and few between he did show a few instances of defensive brilliance such as when he shut collin Sexton down for an entire game.

I do not miss quade at all, the only player I truly wish did not transfer is Jemarl Baker, I really thought/still think theres big things in store for him over the course of his college career and I think he kinda got a bad shake at things here. He played good defense, only shot the ball within the flow of the offense (his shot was off for the most part last season to be fair, but that wasnt gonna last by any means, way too good of a shooter) and it seemed like whenever he missed a shot or had the minorest of errors he was yanked from the game. I feel like it was really hurting his confidence and for some reason had a much smaller leash than anyone else on the team even though he always played very hard on defense and didnt make hardly any boneheaded mistakes. Hed always get benched and not see the floor for the rest of the game. I think we are truly going to miss baker, but green? Not so much.

Id wayyyyy rather have hagans than quade, but I cant lie, I'm not totally completely sold on hagans yet. He left a pretty bad taste in my mouth for his performances during the entirety of the NCAA tournament.
