It's hard to understand unless you are there to see and feel it. This is a tragedy and catastrophe . It's not like having a bad basketball season. Another thought is if all the money made on the Mayweather/McConner fight went to the victims of Texas would it help some. Yes I know it's going to take billions to get that place back to something somewhat normal but that money would help. OFC

I just saw where a family of six drowned in the van they were attempting to escape flood waters in. Horrible stuff.

In Houston and it is awful. Our governor indicated Katrina cost over 100 billion and this will exceed that. Hard to believe what I have seen the last four days. Love my Blue Devils !

I live here in the Houston area (15 minutes north). Its crazy. Fortunately my house is fine but I did have to sandbag the back door on Sunday just to feel better. I drove through 3 feet of water to go to Lowes, but they were closed. Its a real mess down here but my family was lucky. Parts of our neighborhood are underwater. It will take 2 years for a lot of these areas to be rebuilt. They are calling it a 1,000 year flood on the weather channel. Needless to say I will purchase flood insurance soon. Never thought I would need it since I am not in a flood zone but the retention ponds are full so.... Better safe than sorry.
