I was posting about a recruit’s weight and autocorrect changed potatos to potatoes. Am I the only old guy who remembers a VP candidate getting destroyed by the media for spelling potatoes with an E?

It was singular, he added an “e”, and was rightly crtisized.

Actually potatoe at the time was a correct spelling according to Mirriam Webster. It was listed as an alternate spelling. I need to go back to bed. Had to pick my wife up late at the airport last night. Potato’s is the other autocorrect result that makes me go huh.You misspelled criticized.....ouch. A lot of people misspell words, like spellcheck, to which the correct spelling is S-U-C-K-A.
