Police guidelines have been built to best save lives of police. Adjustments may and will happen. Just remember lives will be lost the other way as changes are made. Most Americans have no clue how much people fight back upon arrest. As a relative of officers that narrative has skipped a major part of reality that goes on. One frustration I have is the police don’t use video to show this enough to have people understand. My cousin was hit with a rock in the head making an arrest and the guy was out the next day. CNN doesn’t seem to care about the thousands of times that happens.
