OT: pineapple on Pizza

I was introduced to pineapple, ham, and jalapeño by my roommate in college. He’d pour pickled jalapeño juice on it before cooking. That spicy pizza went great with cheap beer. Still love that pizza.

Bacon (awesome bacon not Canadian trash), Italian sausage, pepperoni, jalapenos, and pineapple with a ranch drizzle. It's killer. The key is to put the pineapple on after cooking. The cold pineapple cuts through the spices and gives the pie a real sweetness.

i'm in 🍍 pizza super-position. I'll tell you its philosopically vile and disgusting but if you can have a large delivered in 30 mins. i'll divour it in one sitting. With a bottle of ripple.

Pineapple on pizza is legitimately good (IMHO). Any “Italian” chef in “Australia” is probably not making everything he cooks completely, authentically Italian. If you’re with a group of people and a pizza is ordered with something you don’t like, it’s one of the easiest dishes to remove said items from and go on about your business. The next might be salad.

I’m a fan of it, but not with any tomato-based sauce. The Mowie Wowie at Mellow Mushroom is pretty solid - has the pesto base with the chicken, bacon, pineapple, and banana peppers. It’s legit.

No one has a more exaggerated opinion of how good their “authentic” food is than the Italians. Okay. Maybe the French, but at least they pretty much invented every cooking technique we use.
Italian-American is FAR superior to Italian.

It’s good, but ordering only pizzas with pineapple makes you a psychopath. I also can get some people not liking it. The people who make a big deal about it not being on pizza are weird.
