Koepka was on his way to being a miserable prick as well imo.
Mostly when it involved DeChambeau... which I was fine with 🤣🤣
He also has a following more than the other two and is the best golfer on the LIV. Was surprised he went that route.

Took one for his brother. LIV should just tell BD and BK start trash talking and be paired up. I would watch that. WWE style golf.

Agreed. Most people love DJ. He's one of my fav's. I thought Bus was a DJ fan so I was surprised he said that.
Im a big fan of his bride... I routed for him to win just to see her.
There are reasons it took them so long to get married as he liked to bang other PGA wives. Certainly not loved within the Tour, a line you do not cross over.

I think most like his wife Paulina. He is just too robotic for me.
I'm not a Paulina fan, but can see why a lot do like him because of her. I like DJ since he is chill...and hits it a long way. He is one of those guys that was good at every sport. Tons of natural talent and doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. He may or may not of had a coke habit, but that doesn't really matter. 😀

Well got suspended for coke after 4 positive tests so I'm thinking....

I forgot about that. Rumor was Dufner's wife and the ex of Will MacKenzie. I always loved Dufner and felt bad for him when that happened.

Back to Gotterup. He missed another 3 footer on 13 and followed with another bogey on 14. He Birdied 15 but going over the green from a greenside bunker on 18 he now lies 4' from the cup in 4. The best he can do is bogey which would put him -1. The cut line is -2. I don't know if that changes the line or not . There are 64 players -2 or better. Won't know till tomorrow as play has been suspended.

He hits the ball a long way but his putting within 8' is an issue as was said on Golf Channel when he first played on tour a few months ago. Coming in his shots gained putting was -.6.

With Gotterup's bogey on 18 he moved the cut line from -2 to -1, meaning 22 additional players will tee it up on the weekend lol.

Big-time golfers = ratings and watchers

After Tiger, fans care about DJ, Koepka, and DeC.

and yet few people tune into the free streams to watch those guys.

That’s going to be the long term thing to watch - can they get a network deal? They have to get more popular players to make it worthwhile for the TV networks.

PGA Tour filed their response to the injunction request. Hearing is set for tomorrow. I suspect the players who filed for the temporary injunction will likely win but an interesting point was made. These guys knew they were ineligible for nearly two months but the waited until the very last minute to try to get an emergency injunction. One legal analyst said their attorney would struggle to make a defense as to why they waited so long.

What’s up with these low rounds on Sundays? Always thought Sundays are just ungettable. C Smith with a 64 at the open and JH Kim with a 61 to win the Wyndham. Seems like a lot players are going low on Sundays.

Crazy tournament for JH Kim. Opening hole on Thursday is quad bogey. Ends up winning. What a front 9 for him yesterday.

Good news, bad news for the LIV world.

First, it seems like Cam Smith is going to make the jump after the Fed Ex playoffs. Another Aussie golfer said today that he and Leishman are heading there. $100M for Smith. The biggest coup yet for LIV. EDIT: He just gave a non-answer at the Fed Ex interview, so it appears he's bolting.

On the flipside, the three golfers who filed a TRO to play in the Fed Ex playoffs lost their hearing today. Judge didn't seem to buy the irreparable harm angle considering players have earned more in two months than their entire careers on the PGA Tour. Plus the LIV contracts apparently took into consideration lost winnings/money if they joined their tour. In addition, it was noted in court the judge actually found the LIV contracts to be more restrictive than the PGA Tour contracts. Some analysts in the twitter world suggest the way the hearing went, it might be tough for the larger group to win the antitrust hearing. We'll find out.

Some other things came out....... LIV contracts require all LIV golfers to wear their logo which the PGA claimed would do harm to them if LIV golfers wore their logo during a PGA event. The LIV attorney said the three wouldn't wear their logos during the Fed Ex but it was unclear if they'd be pushed to wear them in regular PGA events or majors. Also, the LIV attorney said in court that players winnings are counted against their upfront money. So in theory, DeChambeau has to earn $125 million in earnings before he actually sees money from his finish in a tournament. The lawyer then tried to scramble and say that all contracts are different and that not all guaranteed money is actually guaranteed.

Oh and Talor Gooch is one funny guy. When he was part of the winning team at the London event he made a claim that this is what it must feel like at a Ryder Cup. Even his own teammates' look on their faces was priceless.

And then today, apparently in court, the lawyers argued that Gooch had no idea that signing up for the London LIV event would lead to his suspension from the tour. LOL. Either he doesn't read his memos from the PGA leadership or LIV attorneys sold him a bill of goods that the suspension wouldn't hold up.

I read that C Smith signed for 100mm before he won The Open. Think he is renegotiating that upfront number.

now we know this is exhibition golf since winnings are deducted from the upfront money. It’s almost like losing money when you win 😀

LIV spokesman said there are no draws, prize money is prize money. So either LIV is bullshitting people or the lawyer representing the three players in court today is a moron.

On Golf Channel an attorney said the LIV contracts will become public knowledge if they pursue anti-trust so we'll see who's right.

LIV has become like horse racing. You win once and then make tons of money as a stud.
Expect signing bonuses to rise if the LIV can't find a way to get their tour player allowed to play in major PGA events.

I don’t see LIV like that. Today it’s more like any other sport with a guaranteed contract (hence the team concept). Will be interesting to see the contract details and how “prize” money is actually awarded. At the end of the day every LIV golfer has made more than they probably made their entire career in earnings.

Zero chance winning purses are being deducted from sign on bonuses.
Why zero chance? It's been rumored for a couple months now and LIV's lawyer slipped up saying the same during the case this week. I thought it was very unlikely it could be true but now I'm starting to believe it more as a possibility -- at least for some of the contracts

Read somewhere that Chamblee reported this months ago. Had to take it down because he couldn’t verify it. The lawsuit will flush it all. It will be funny if it is for some players and not others.

LIV released a statement. Prize money is separate from contractual money. Wow, these golfers can make $4m a pop for winning tournaments PLUS the signing bonuses.

No brainer leaving the cheap PGA tour!
