It’s not about the money. It’s about a lot of money.Shocker. Not. Phil is going for the money grab.

This may be the end of Phil on the PGA Tour. He is now a Saudi League player.Phil withdraws from the PGA championship.
I would expect there will be some that are big names but skills are deteriorating because of age will look at the saudi option as a way to stay in the money as the younger PGA tour members overtake them in tour standings..Knocking their earnings down from what it was in their prime..This may be the end of Phil on the PGA Tour. He is now a Saudi League player.
Didn’t want to face the pressPhil withdraws from the PGA championship.
There will be no press in the Saudi League??Didn’t want to face the press
Saudi League is getting all this press coverage now. There will be no press in the Saudi League??
You are throwing up the biggest softball right now. I’ll let someone else take the swing. There will be no press in the Saudi League??
The first tournament is in London which has more NY Post type media then here. No softball at all.You are throwing up the biggest softball right now. I’ll let someone else take the swing.
Why would the CEO of the PGA of America say this? The first tournament is in London which has more NY Post type media then here. No softball at all.
Funny thing is this false perception that he has to give interviews at the PGA. Tiger, Sergio etc have never been forced to talk to media.
There is no requirement by any PGA event to be forced to meet the media. Tiger has skip them after his many issues. Daly, Sergio etcWhy would the CEO of the PGA of America say this?
“I hope what we can do is have that before the flag goes up,’’ Waugh said on the podcast. “The idea is, if he does play, and if he’s able to and allowed to ... he would certainly have to face the media. But I hope it’s Monday or Tuesday, and then once the flag goes up, it’s about the golf.”
No **** there is no requirement. What’s Phil’s requirement to play in a PGA tour event after public ally blasting them? Do you know if the PGA of America is honoring Monaghan’s wishes if Phil were to play in the PGA Championship. There is no requirement by any PGA event to be forced to meet the media. Tiger has skip them after his many issues. Daly, Sergio etc
Since no one swung at it.There will be no press in the Saudi League??
Since no one swung at it.
The press in the Saudi League is chopped up between the ones that ask soft ball questions and the rest are told to meet at Saudis consulate.
Someone’s hit the bottle a little early today. Who cares what Jack or any other former pro thinks about this. Jack only cares about his family, business and legacy. He’s got too much class to get involved in this.Where does Jack stand?
He has been very quiet.
He has a dilemma. He does not want to alienate the PGA nor the Orange Haired "Sheikh."
Most golfers support and love the Orange Haired "Sheikh."
The Sheikh supports the Saudi.
What are the golfers going to do?
Prediction: Going on a "hajj."
I think it is stronger then just a bottle!! Maybe a bad batch of street meds.Someone’s hit the bottle a little early today. Who cares what Jack or any other former pro thinks about this. Jack only cares about his family, business and legacy. He’s got too much class to get involved in this.
Phil’s statement wasn’t bad though. As if Phil's statement wasn't bad enough, Greg Norman's just blew it out of the water.
"As he fielded questions about the 2018 murder and dismemberment of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi on Wednesday at a media day for his Saudi-backed LIV Golf’s inaugural event in London next month, Norman said this:
“Look, we’ve all made mistakes and you just want to learn from those mistakes and how you can correct them going forward.”
That’s the quote, word for word, according to The Times of London. “We’ve all made mistakes,” Norman, 67, said about the country and the man — his business partner — who ordered the kidnapping and assassination of another human being."
Phil’s statement wasn’t bad though.
He was 10000% accurate.
This statement, on the other hand, is a terrible look
The statement wasn’t bad: it was 100% accurate.Sorry, what about Phil’s statement wasn’t bad?
I'll ask you the reverse question. What was not an honest answer? The facts are the world of sports takes billions from China, Saudis and the UAE. Why now is Phil the sole whipping boy on this issue? Premier League, European Tour, NBA etc has been going on for decades.Sorry, what about Phil’s statement wasn’t bad?

you can say the actions the statement was about are bad. But then 95% of golfers are guilty.

He laid out actions by the Saudis, Killed Journalist and others,, including gay people. Perhaps this is what you mean by factually correct and not bad,
He then justified his partnership with them to stick it to the PGA.
PGA, what do you think. Bad.
key sponsors, Callaway, Workaday, Amstel. Bad. So bad we,re severing ties with one of the most popular guys in tour,
He basically said his greed is so large that he’s willing to partner with and look the other way on actions by murderers.
Do you honestly not consider that statement bad?

the statement isn’t bad, the action in the statement is bad…
Partnering with Saudi’s only for money is bad. My point is the tour and players have been doing this for decades. Why all the sudden is Phil the bad guy for telling the truth?
Sorry, don’t understand. Are you still saying Phil’s statement wasn’t bad? Your response isn’t clear.
Every golfer “looked the other way” who played the Saudi backed event in March (I think it was March).
why aren’t they getting severed by their sponsors?
And 50 other top American golfers were ready to do this too…Yes, I’m sure players have played in Saudi sponsored tournaments. They didn’t, however, run into a partnership with them to stick it to an organization. Phil is, though. He said it, greedy SOB. None of the others did. Had they made similar comments, I’d bet they would have received a similar reaction.
And 50 other top American golfers were ready to do this too…
every single rich person is a greedy SOB.
Use real quotes. There is a lot of ******** in your opinion. Plus you ignored the big question!! Why is Phil the whipping boy when all the other sports have been doing this for years and nobody including people like you have and continue to ignore it. Stop! Your hatred of Phil is noted! I'm not a big Phil fan. Just a general golf fan and the hypocrisy from people like you blows my mind.He laid out actions by the Saudis, Killed Journalist and others,, including gay people. If all of these others rose up and made a statement like Phil did, they’d likely have the same response,. Is it laudable that others partner with them? No. But no Sponsor is going to sever ties for one tournament. When you state, , “I know how bad these dudes are, but I’m such a greedy SOB I’m going to abandon my prior career and partner with them anyway!” Different story.
Shoot, other players are joining Phil. Garcia. Westwood. Haven’t read about their sponsors cutting ties, But they didn’t say what Phil did, either.
if I’m being fair to Phil, pretty Scuzzy of the author to release that quote.

Phil is the whipping boy because he wanted it. He was the most vocal and critical of the PGA Tour. Remember Phil calling the PGA Tour obnoxious greedy? LMAO. This is why he is the whipping boy.Use real quotes. There is a lot of ******** in your opinion. Plus you ignored the big question!!
