I am a Men's Basketball season ticket holder, and one thing drives me to distraction when they are announcing the oppositions lineup. For a group that revels in the moniker " greatest fans " It seems totally rude to chant Husker Power during the introductions. Cheer all you want the rest of the game, but this feels classless imo.

I got a pet peeve:

scratch-off people at the gas station…

…you seriously have to hold up the whole line so you can figure out which $5 ticket is going to light up your night and get you your $5 back?!

JFC go to the track for half the time you spend “picking out a winner” at Casey’s and play a random pick-4, pick-5, pick-6. At least you’d have something to root for.

Pet peeve…people that post their pet peeves assuming we care. Winking
Apparently you cared enough to comment. To clarify, my intent with the post was to see if people agreed with me on the chant during introductions. The post has taken on a life of it's own.

It helps to know someone else shares my pain. If this happens and my wife is with me, she knows I’m seething inside and she just looks at me like “Don’t you dare make a scene.” Lol.

Even worse is when people who buy scratch off tickets can’t wait and scratch them off while still at the counter. Then they win and want to buy more. And after that they want to buy a certain pack of cigarettes that the cashier can’t find behind the counter.

Then when they hear everyone grumbling behind them, they act get mad and act like we are the rude ones for not being able to wait and extra 10 minutes in line.

One lane is closed so the sign say merge over ( left or right) most people get in the lane where everyone is suppose to go but there has to be these privileged people think they can go all the way in the other lane and then merge over in front on everyone else… 😡

I'm kinda in that boat, we all have to wait in line to check out. I don't care what someone is buying or how long it takes. It's the old folks that gotta scratch that ticket off at the counter that drives me Nutz.

Some old gal wuz doing that at Kwik Shop, right after Covid started. The clerk said something to her and she said, I'll just be a second (She's got like a dozen tickets to scratch) I went to check out anyways, she yells 6 ft BUB! I told her nicely, your not respecting my time. Why should I respect yours.

I hope she didn't win :)

I get that we’re all in line, and people after us have to wait for us too.

It’s just the ones who are essentially window shopping for tickets up there and acting like they are John Nash trying to crack the code for which one is going to win.

My wife made the comment that the convenience store isnt going to tell them to move just is case it’s a big winner the store gets a percentage and if not a winner the person will buy another $20-$50 worth

The driving pet peeve that I notice a lot lately:

People who are too lazy or stupid to actually use right and left turn lanes correctly. They slow to a crawl and sort of "hint" that they are turning, by easing slowly toward the turn lane. Then once they are right on top of the intersection, they'll throw on their turn signal and finally leave the thru lane.

Hey, idiots - this completely defeats the purpose of the turn lane, which was put there for the cars behind you.

if we are gonna lose at basketball in the big 10, we should fill the team full of potential football players.
then they can just switch sports if needed..some tall left tackle, tight end, wide receiver types.

the grap'lin team could be full of rb's, linebacker and dl types...

etc...

I like this….. BUT:
- whistling of any kind
- assorted family members
- left lane drivers
- after school faculty meetings
- Tom Crean/ Dwight Schrute… same guy
- the SEC
- BOOMER SOONER fight song

I’ve got more… tip of the iceberg

I get what your saying, I worked on the other side of the counter at on e point. I just learned to be patient I guess.

I'll be honest, I can't say that about being in the drive thru at Taco Bell. It's all the same ingredients with a different name. Shouldn't be any surprises, order and move along.

-people who park their cart in the exact middle of the aisle while they research every different type of Dorito, I’m just passing through, move your ****
-people who get to the front of the security line at airports and are mesmerized by the very basic rules that have been in place for over a decade, no you can’t bring a 40 oz bottle of shampoo
-people who turn in front of me and take fifteen seconds to get up to the speed limit
-people who constantly need to talk to me on the elevator. It doesn’t have to be this way, we can both stand in silence for 20 seconds and we’ll be better for it
-so many more
