Saw Bon Jovi on a Thursday night at Prudential Center back when it first opened what around 2007? I am a building guy and like to see new venues so I was psyched. Big deal for New Jersey I thought. Then I realized that Bon Jovi positively sucks!

Troll.
If we had the Florida or Georgia Governor here in New Jersey the deaths from COVID-19 would be quadruple what it is now.

We’ll never know but the stats don’t support your statement. Florida has more than twice the population, same number of cases, and 1/3 the deaths.

Florida has, since the beginning, not been counting Covid cases / fatalities among non-residents. Given the number of non-residents in Florida at any given time, their numbers are pretty much a complete work of fiction.

since the allowance of outdoor dining, I have been to three establishments..... each of them had plenty of spacing and at no time did I feel that I was near
anyone to catch the virus....

I also went to a concert in a park where I was able to set up and was about 10 feet away from anyone else...

now, there is a college friend who is having an outdoor wedding reception for his son, in a few weeks...... out of the five of my friends that were invited, only myself and one other is going....these friends go back 50 years, and the virus is the reason for the other three not to attend.

upon talking with one friend who is not coming, I found out that he has been much more cautious than me all throughout this period of time

if a son or daughter has come in contact with someone outside the family, they are quarantined away from the family for 2 weeks before getting to together with family members... this is done even if the people in contact were not infected, as best they could tell

I can see quarantining if someone was near a person with the virus, but that is not the case here

I don't know if it is me being too lax, or him being too much the other way.....

Despite my families love of the beach this is the 1st weekend I've had any overnight company since January. 2 of the 3 had been tested recently and were negative for all that matters.

Deborah Heart hospital just had their 1st Covid death. I asked my mother in law who is one of the head nurses what did he die of. She said he was 85 and already had heart surgery once a year ago at the hospital. And at that time was told he didn't have much time left and died of a heart attack.

But since he tested positive for Covid-19 it went under Covid-19 as being the cause of death. They've been instructed anyone who tests positive for Covid-19 and dies, no matter what the cause, goes under Covid-19 as that can't be ruled out as an underlining factor. Now that may just be Deborah but I find that highly unlikely.

So they've been storing them in U-Haul trucks like DeBlow in NYC ?

You are seeing less deaths now even in states with exploding numbers of people contracting the disease, because they have made huge strides in treating the disease.

Physicians have learned solid lessons from the mistakes that were made during the early months of the outbreak.

They are using ventilators only as a last resort, because they have found they do nothing to treat the basic causes of the inflammation. That is why we were seeing 90% mortality for patients who were put on them.

They have some new medications, but mostly they have developed new procedures to get the blood oxygenated and to reduce the drastic immune response that kills a number of patients.

IMO the best method of determining how rapidly the disease is increasing or decreasing is to count the number of hospitalizations, not the deaths or numbers of people testing positive. Other factors are affecting both of the last two.

Yeah. Except he should have followed with- "Do as I say, not as I do. I'm special and don't follow my own rules. I talk the talk, but I don't walk the walk." Hypocrite.

Except he's following the rules verbatim.

Outdoor dining is permitted. You don't need to wear a mask at the table and it's not required to only be people from your own household.

I think everyone needs to do what's best for them. I think we hear way too much about both people who deny the virus or play and down and people who won't leave the house and want everyone to be shut in for years on end.

There's a happy medium of gathering only outside with people who you know and are not elderly or immunocompromised and wearing a mask when you need to be inside.

I might be concerned if I was the groom in your case because I'd be "that wedding" that spread it- especially if people are travelling to it and not from the immediate area. I could see not attending if I was immunocompromised, elderly, or living with someone who was. Personally I have limited interactions with people who are because I'd hate to be the one that caused an issue.

Good post. I have chosen to attend this out door reception and will take every precaution I can. If it feels like it is unsafe I would leave, but I think that the family running this will try to do everything they can to distance and make it safe

Don't bother Knight Shift with plain facts that sink his entire narrative. It really hampers his whole shaking his fist at Murphy routine.

Also he gets really, really butthurt.

Which is totally allowed, considering Murphy lifted the outdoor gathering limit to 500 PEOPLE.

Who is being fined for standing next to someone outdoors?

Even DJais wasn't fined for that video with people dancing outside and it was way more than two.

Extended 4th of July party weekend?

Sleep 'er off n come back strong tomorrow.

You should change your handle to hypocrite2

When you don't like someone's post you commonly tell them that it doesn't belong on this board.

I copied and pasted your exact phrase from another thread.

You're one of the main anti Free Speechers here.

Where did you learn to be a facist authoritarian?

Wow. You seem to have some stuff you need to work out.

This thread is about outdoor dining.
