Made my 1st game of the season last night. Great atmosphere despite the 3-2 loss with a very nice crowd for a cool Thursday night.

Love what they did with the LF bleacher area as well!

I've been able to hit 2 games so far, had tickets to 3 but work overtime made me miss one.

Francessa said the crowd should have been larger last night, let's see how it is tonight.
Tomorrow will be rained out, then we have Jeter night on Sunday which should be sold out.

We will have a logjam of middle infielders quite soon with the rise of Torres. We will most likely flip either Castro or Didi for a pitcher when he's ready. Mateo is most definitely expendable as is Frazier if they decide to dip into free agency after the luxury tax reset. The only person I'd be reluctant to trade is Sheffield but would do it for a strong, established SP.

Castro and Didi for Matt Harvey. Straight up.

Harvey needs to prove that he's not a nutcase before a team takes a shot at him. I swear he needs a handler like Josh Hamilton did in his efforts to stay sober.

2 losses against the best team in baseball with their 2 best pitchers on the mound. Not gunna start panicking. Let's get these next 2. Schedule gets a lot easier after this.

What would the Yankees do with Matt Harvey ? When has he shown that he's better than any of the Yankees current five starters ?
And I mean recent history...not two or three or four years ago.
BTW, Didi and Castro aren't going anywhere. Take the barf bag.

Notice you don't hear any of the usual "Cashman sucks" rhetoric now that all of his trades/moves are coming up aces. He's a top 5 baseball exec and people need to deal with it.

Harvey got lit up again last night, he would not be able to crack the Yanks rotation.
Maybe he can be used a middle reliever or mop up duty man?

The Mets are just lucky that he imploded before they had to give him a 100 million dollar contract. They scream poverty all the time so they would probably fold with 20 million dollars in dead weight.

It's a 2:00 and 7:35 start, so I don't think so. Not really sure though.

Lol Houston is far from the best team in baseball. Records mean little 30 games in.

Far from the best team in baseball? I am not sure I would say that. If you made me pick the top five teams right now I would say they are;

1. Washington
2. Boston
3. Houston
4. NYY
5. Dodgers

They are clearly the best team in baseball right now. You make it obvious time and time again that you really have no idea what you're talking about. Look at power rankings this coming Monday. Every single person will have Houston on top. Please, for your own sake, stop commenting on baseball posts. You continually embarrass yourself.

IMO you left Baltimore out....they should be there instead of Boston.
And, of course, how could you omit the mets. They have five twenty game winners in their rotation.

I don't think Baltimore has the pitching. And they have serious bullpen issues now without Britton. I would take Boston over them if you made me bet on who will win the east. If the Yankees make a trade for a starter they would be my pick. We are one solid starter away from being the team.

How does any list not include the world champ and young cubs??????? How are yanks included because of bird and sanchez batting 200 or no pitching. Records mean little, its way to early.

Yup, all he's missing is doing it for the next 15 years!!! You don't throw around All Time great after 30 games, lol.
All time great is laughable, typical media hype aka maas........ best 2 young baseball stars in NY are Conforto (think trout) and Ahmed Rosario, the best young SS on the planet.

You are right. Cubs 4th. I forgot then. I think their pitching is weak. Arieta is not the same.

Wow you are some kind of stupid. All time great is laughable but a guy who hasn't even played in the Majors is the best SS on the planet? Rosario is better than Correa, Lindor, Seager, etc..? He's not even better than Gregorius. And you compared Conforto to Trout LOL. Sane, rational Met fans you need to come get your man. He's making you look bad.

Good to see the bats come to life again. Yanks are 12-0 when Judge hits a HR. Let's go get the second game of this doubleheader. Schedule really lightens up after this game.

How are either better rhan conforto??? Sanchez doing nothing 3 months into his career. Judge had hot start but cooled off. Conforto batting 340 with power and can play all outfield positions unlike herman Munster Judge lol

Judge is cooling off? In May he is hitting .341 with 4 homeruns and 9 RBI's. He leads the majors in HR's and is hitting .313 all while playing a great, not good, great RF. Sanchez was hurt. You know that right, but in May he is hitting .333 and of course was runner up for ROTY last season after a historic run. Having said all that Conforto is a nice player, but there isn't a scout or team anywhere that would take Conforto over Judge or Sanchez.

Have to politely disagree, Conforto is the real deal 5 tool player. Every scout says will be an all star for yrs to come. Sanchez batting 250 and herman Judge has hurting knees already. Not many 290 pound outfielders in mlb. Hey judge had a great START, lets see as pitchers get to know him.

You can make a case for Conforto but your "Herman" Judge childish and idiot statement just shows that you know nothing about Aaron Judge and never watched him play the field. The guy is an athlete and can play the field. Just because he is big doesn't make him awkward.
Aaron Judge is leading AL in home runs, 3rd in RBI and if you're a sabermetrics geek he is #2. Conforto isn't top 5 in anything in the NL and is 20th in WAR in the NL. Let me know when he catches up. And maybe watch some other baseball so you can actually have an intelligent argument.

Of course the hot start will inflate Judge stats for a few weeks, lets talk 100 games in and see where each is.......

Jeter is a generational player.
Such a class act too, us long time fans miss him dearly already.

It's too bad they got beat on his night and have not gotten good pitching in a while.

I mean you do know that over a full season last year Conforto was awful so he may also just be off to a hot start. I don't want to kill conforto though. I like him. He has very good potential. I think he is a safer choice than Judge. He just doesn't have judges or Sanchez ceiling. But again he is a very good prospect.
