OK. The poll lied.
Your poll is ********. Nobody cares. There is no argument whether the Yanks or Mets have a bigger fanbase. One is built on winning it all over and over. The other is built on years of suffering and marginal recent success.

Good luck when the Yanks have all these young contract controlled players coming into their own in addition to the money we can spend (far more than you thanks to the incomparably larger earnings and fanbase we have) while the contracts on the Mets pitchers start running out when they're not taking turns getting injured.

Besides, it's been 31 years since the mets last won it all. How many of the Amazins' fans here were even alive when that happened ?
Talk about a drought.

And Judge with a homer in second game in a row.
Yep. I was glad too because I had just gotten done hyping Judge to my Dad ,who never watches the games anymore and then he launches one a million feet in the air.

No worries. He's basically gonna troll Mets' fans wherever he gets the opportunity.
Well thanks to you, Mets fans now have a "safe space" where no criticism of The Orange and Blue State is tolerated.

Since there's already a more popular baseball team in New York, maybe the Mets should move to Pyongyang!

Excellent post. I'm so excited to go to games again this year and watching these kids play live! Haven't felt this way in a while!

Yes, there are lots of Met fans out there. It's a product of where we live, duh! Yes, they are very loyal (well, at least when yapping about their team, not as much when it comes to showing up at the stadium...). Yes, when they are good, and The Yanks are not, they "control" the airwaves - DUH! But alas, no, the fan bases aren't close to being the same size. Like, literally, NOT CLOSE to being the same size.

Too bad there is not a game today with the great weather.
Tomorrow may bring some rain.

A couple quick showers early in the day tomorrow. Should be clear and ready to roll come game time (1:00). Love that it's another day game! Also LOVE the new "Pinstripe Pass:" $15 gets you into the stadium (no seat) AND a 12oz domestic draft beer!

Is that like a standing room only ticket? Sounds like a good deal.

Yup. You have access to the entire stadium OTHER THAN the private clubs and seats. You can walk around, sit in concourse areas, etc, etc..
That is a great idea. They must have to limit the number of those passes per game?
Does Yankee Stadium have a seating area where you can eat food that does not require a ticket.

Hmmmmmm. Too bad this will probably wont be available for the Subway Series. But I might have to take the 4 up to The Bronx for a Yankee game. I'm already plan in going up there for a NYCFC game this year.

Jordan Montgomery makes his MLB debut today at the stadium. At every stage he has been very successful. Hopefully he continues the trend.
Good luck Jordan, Go Yankees.

Aaron Judge is a freakin' beast.

Last 3 games ... 3 HR's. With today's HR landing in Monument Park.

And he nearly killed that Rays pitcher when a line drive that was clocked at 116 mph off his bat. Just missed his head by inches, thankfully.

Good start by Montgomery. Took him out too early. His swing amd miss ratio/pitches was mid 20%. 4 pitches. All from the top of his tall frame. He was impressive coming through the ranks, was impressed today

Nice win.
Too many injuries. If Gardner is out that's four of eight position players.
Why are we the only team that gets so many injuries ?

Another post by you that's said as absolute fact, when in reality, your talking out your butt again.Tell me in detail just what the "aren't close" numbers actually are? Just using attendance doesn't tell the whole story because that doesn't show a "aren't close" figure,so I'm thinking you've come up with another solid way. I'm sure your poll is way more accurate, lol.

Lol,still a long way to go before you come close to what the Mets had to over come last season, pretty sure you know that, the trick is to "OVERCOME" those injuries and make the post season. We both know that ain't happening this year for the "bombers".PS. Why haven't you posted in that Phillies thread you started? A lot of solid baseball talk in it,lol.

And it looks like Kaprielian is headed for Tommy John surgery.
So many injuries....and it's only mid-April.

Because of a weak starting staff and young players as your core, injuries are going to be tough to overcome. You may have to endure a rough year but you do have some young pieces to the puzzle in place that will pay off in the future.

Kaprielian was never going to play for the Yankees this year. Too bad for him but doesn't affect the Yankees this season at all.

I thought he'd be in the Yanks rotation in August or September this season.
Now it looks like 2019....maybe.

Since he only had 3 or 4 starts last year there was no chance for him to make the club anytime this season. He confirmed yesterday he is having TJ surgery. Should have had it last year.

Who the hell is Gary Maas?
Kevin Maas was the young flash in the pan for the Yankees who hit 21 bombs in 1990 in a late call up role.
Boy, you're not good at sarcasm are you?

He's saying that Gary Sanchez is the new Kevin Maas. Then, I made fun of the fact that he doesn't even know how to spell "Maas".

I don't mind when people troll, but they better at least spell it right.

Hicks with two bombs last night, one from each side of the plate. The youth pays off again.
Pitching has been great too these last few days. I don't know good this team will be but they will be fun to watch.

I think that's all you can ask for at this point. Free agency will heat up again once the tax goes under the limit. The future looks good!

Heard that Severino was working with Pedro Martinez this off-season working on his change. If he can retain a good change up in his repertoire, gonna be a tough pitcher this year.
