Conlon hurt when batting. Think I'm officially done with NL rules - been a long proponent of dropping the DH, but after decades I have done a 180.
We traded Seaver to the Reds, so now lets trade Harvey to them,pay backs are a *****,lmao.
To think I was actually looking forward to Vargas’ return from the DL.
Can the Mets trade Vargas to get Harvey back?
Vargas is f*ckin' terrible. Yet another factor in justifying the beat-down of Sandy Alderson.
Why so harsh on Vargas? Only one run per inning tonight - that's a personal best for the season! Continuous improvement. That's all you can ask for.

On a more serious note, lost in the flurry of transactions today was that Anthony Swarzak was moved to the 60 day DL. OK so that's one pitcher signing that didn't work out so well. Can't get 'em all right.
So Devin Maseraco is the guy Sandy Alderson spends the money on (trading Harvey's $5 M for Mesoraco's $13 M)? Not at one time or another, Jonathan Lucroy, Wilson Ramos, JT Realmuto, or even bringing Rene Rivera?

100% agree.A real head scratchier, another player often injured,should fit right in,unreal.
Mets are not spending a dime on Mesoraco. Reds are making a cash payment to Mets so that in effect Mets are continuing to pay Harvey, and Reds are continuing to pay Mesoraco.
This is the type of trade that makes sense for both teams. Take a flyer on somebody who used to be good and hope the change of scenery helps.

This makes more sense then what the morning radio guys said this morning (unless I heard wrong, which wouldn't be the first/last time).
He can still come back somewhat soon. It's retroactive. Let's see how he does when he gets into the pen.

For some reason, I thought the game was in later innings. He will blow it.
So, while my App said I was watching the game live, I was 2 or 3 innings behind. I see Mr. Out of Order Bruce is up now. Or should he be? Flied out.
Reds' ERA 5.17 or something that high going in. Mets batting makes the entire pitching staff look Cy Young Award eligible.
Guy is really starting to seem in over his head. I don't care what kind of reputation he brought with him from the AL.
