1. Gase should be history after the season. I'm sure he has lost the locker room already given the abundant amount of stinkers so far.

2. I'll give Darnold the benefit of the doubt given his WR's suck and his mono etc - but I am not sold on him. No mobility and lack of arm strength. If he doesn't up his game big time next year - 3rd year for him - cut bait and get another qb for 2021 season.

3. Evey time Jets have a high pick, the player never materializes

4. Trade Leonard Williams. Get whatever you can for him.

Never waste a high pick on a USC or Bama player. They generally never live up to expectations.

Wow, that's RU QB bad.

Sam looked like he had the yips. By 4th quarter he was throwing ducks to empty space. Jets may have another wrecked QB notch in their belt . Coach looked lost. The Giants picking of Barkley instead of a QB is looking good today.

Did you see the mic'd up snippet where Sam was saying "I'm seeing ghosts out there"

I didn't hear it during the game but I've seen/heard the highlight since. Boomer show is linking it to the "butt fumble" moment. "Seeing ghosts" or "hearing footsteps" happens. Last night was worse than that. Sam looked almost drugged - like he had smoked crack or taken mushrooms. Not that I think he did but that's how remarkably bad he looked. Who would expect such a thing after Dallas? I'm wondering if he is still recovering from illness. A taxed immune system can affect thinking and perception more than healthy people can realize.

Gase is destroying his career by not fixing the OL. Great job Jets!

Right. Julio Jones, Landon Collins, Marcell Dareus, CJ Mosely, Josh Jacobs, Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Amari Cooper have all been major busts...

MMMMM.

Seems like your sensitive to Alabama players. If so, why don't you rave about these busts - all recent high 1 st round picks:

- DJ Fluker
- Rolando McLain
- Trent Richardson
- Keith McCants
- John Copeland
- Dee Millner
- Antoni Langham
- Eric Curry
- Mark Barron
- Chance Warmack
- Andre Smith
- Dre Kirkpatrick

On your players you listed above:

Stars - Julio Jones; Landon Collins. CJ Mosely

Marcel Dareus- good player but as 3d player picked in draft in 2011 has under-achieved. He's no game changer.

Josh Jacobs - a rookie but looks good so far.

Derrick Henry - my are we reaching here......average RB...no star...shares carries with Deon Lewis

Mark Ingram - good RB....not a game changer

Minkah Fitzpatrick - 2 int in his career - albeit 2 seasons - does not constitute a star...TBD

Amari Cooper - Real good WR but again not a game changer.

My point on this matter is generally Bama players don't pan out as advertised or marketed. See my busts above and more than half the players you documented are average players...not stars.

I think the Jets drafted this kid by mistake.

Name one school that produces as many draft picks and has a higher percentage of them become productive NFL starters. Point is, while they have plenty of duds, they do produce quite a few NFL starters.

come the end of the season it'll be interesting to see if the posters who criticized the Giants GM for taking Barkley over Darnold still feel the same way. If the Giants/Jets are to have any success, they need to get the pieces in place on both the ol and dl lines and build out from there.

Right now being a Giants fan, the Giants are a little less atrocious than the Jets. But the margin isn't wide. The Jets/Giants game will be a battle to see who has a better Top 5 draft pick.

And yet they are still in playoff contention

With how bad the NFC east is this year 500 will likely get u in

True, I think 9-7 might win it, but with the way they have played so far this year it’s hard to imagine the Giants and Jets getting 9 or 10 wins combined.

I actually thought going into this season both teams would be around 500 but I fear I was waaaay off.

Should be an interesting game then on Nov 10

My take on this...Giants: Jones/Barkley Jets: Darnold/Bell
Very very similar and both pairings could be good. The problem for both is also the same: OL/WR/HC

I think if I am the GM, this draft will be ALL about OL/WR. If a top/cant miss OL is there at the top when picking you take him. If there are no 10 year starter/mult AP year OL available- trade don't and get additional picks in 1-3 rounds.

Can someone tell again how and why Gase is still viewed as a good coach? He's been living off Peyton Manning's coattails forever, and no one is smart enough to realize it. He should have never earned another HC job in the NFL. Todd Bowles, a bad dream, performed better under worse conditions. Gase got the GM he wanted, and it seems the team is taking steps backward quicker than any coach in Jets history other than Rich Kotite.

Didn't like the hire but hoping I was wrong. Looks like I wasn't.

The damn roster is a joke. This team is worse than his in Miami. I’d let his GM actually draft players and sign free agents before we judge both of them.

Hope you realize that almost everyone has already realized this for months. Everyone besides the idiot Johnson family.

He's not. Many (most?) Jets fans are rooting against the team right now in hopes it gets so bad that our awful ownership has no choice but to fire him.

The problem for Jets fans is that if they drop their season tix they will lose the investment in their PSL’s. Those PSL’s are far under water financially for the most part.

Jets fans with PSL’s have checked in with their wallets, but can’t check out without a huge financial loss. Many Jets fans actually took a loan to buy the PSL’s.

I’ve changed my mind. Judge Gase this year. He won’t last. Let Douglas go to work. He’s got a major rebuild on his hands.

Speaking of the Dolphins, is Leonte Carroo still looking to get picked up by an NFL team? Any interest by an XFL team ?

Yes. They were stupid.
