I had the Cowboys in my suicide pool so it killed that for me. I watched the whole game. I think the key play was Dallas going for it on 4th and a couple late in the 2nd quarter. If they kick a field goal there, which was the smart play, they trail 7-6. Instead, it opened the door to the Jets putting 14 quick points on the board.
Unbelievable what a difference Darnold made and they absolutely deserved to win. But the Jets were helped by questionable decision making by the Dallas coach.

The Jets WON. Some Cowgirl fans were talking the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl this year. I think they are over rated. Good for the jets. They deserved the W.

whats amazing is that the GIants are only 1 game out of the division lead, thanks to the Jets and Vikings. Lets get Saquon back and start winning some games.

This is why it was not called a penalty. Complete joke that the game had penalties on 6 straight plays on that last drive though. Very hard to watch these games.

ARTICLE 1. LEGAL CONTACT WITHIN FIVE YARDS
Within the area five yards beyond the line of scrimmage, a defensive player may chuck an eligible receiver in front of him. The defender is allowed to maintain continuous and unbroken contact within the five-yard zone, so long as the receiver has not moved beyond a point that is even with the defender.

It seems like players think this rule applies for the rest of the field. Why not keep it consistent?
Football is becoming unwatchable. Some penalties should not be called if it does not affect the play or there is no personal foul committed.

All the analytics state that you go for the first down in that situation (First half, close game, 4th and 2 from the 7). Coaches have always been too conservative there. We are therefore conditioned to think that "taking the points", which is the safer play, is the smart play. It isn't.

I don't see how the decision "opened the door" to the Jets scoring two quick TDs. IMHO, that is a classic example of the "post hoc, ergo propter hoc" logical fallacy. That is, Event A preceded Event B, therefore Event A caused Event B.

Common now, the Cowboys did win a Super Bowl 23 years ago. :Laughing

And their lifelong fans (of which I'm one) are still labelled as "front runners" by idiot NY football fans whose teams play in Jersey and whose citizens support their infrastructure yet they refuse to take our name.

Screw idiot NY football fans. I live in America and support AMERICA'S TEAM.

Jerry Jones and his flunkies will never win the big game.

No surprise, lots of women love the Cowboys. They love their colors.

I think another reason for the plethora of penalties early in the season is that front line players play very little in the pre season games. As a result, especially in the first 4 weeks or so you see such incredibly sloppy play.

There were so many pass interference penalties called on the last Cowboys drive.

So why did the refs missed the obvious one on the 2-pt conversion?

That was a clear pass interference.

I am not sure if the ball was tipped.

If not, that was a clear pass interference penalty.

Note, I am a Jets fan.
I could be wrong here but I kinda think that football is a contact sport.

Analytics are why teams like the A's and Devil Rays make the playoffs. But superior talent usually wins out in the end. Dallas was the superior team. They would have been well served to be "conservative" in that situation. Anyway, sour grapes taints my thinking here so fee free to disagree.

Cowboys were banking on Hall of Famer Witten to get either the call or make the catch, which to me is a very good call when you realize that it's NFL (and NCAA and NBA) dogma to create and prop up stars and teams for higher ratings. But the refs couldn't call yet another penalty since they clearly had it in for the Jets until that point.

Is also why Rodgers got multiple shady calls last night to beat Detroit and why Rutgers gets pass interference calls for breathing.

Down by contact cause a guy touched your ankle with his foot has got to be the cheapest call in the NFL.
They really should add some intent on that call,

Schiano haters awfully quiet!!!
Is he coaching the pats?
Nobody questioned his recruiting or eye for talent. It was his non bowl game prep and in game x and o that caused grief. Remember, he had these 3 back there too and we did what?

And I'm no Schiano hater..but lets be fair. They're playing for Bill these years, not Greg. Since you brought it up. ...and yeah, I'm just fine with his return IF he's all in.
