I think he‘s closer to 5’6” than 5’8”

And you can count on one hand how many players that size have been real NBA contributors, almost all of which were 20+ years ago.

To those saying he won't get drafted, he may not, but there are many who think he should. He's very crafty, great feel for where everyone's at on the court. IMO he is THE reason K State went that far. If Mugsy could get there, why can't Nowell? I'm pulling for him!!!

Honestly wouldn't shock me to see him carve out a decent career as a solid second unit scoring option (kinda like a lesser Isaiah Thomas). If there's a 5'8 dude that will make it in the league it's him.

Lol what? He's not getting drafted.
Probably the right thing to do. Try to get in while your stock is at an all-time high, probably won't get any higher. Same thing Ulis did, and he did get 2-3 years in the league. And I could see a team, a playoff team needing a backup PG to spend a late 2nd round pick on him, because the dude is good.

And I know the league has changed, but 5 foot freakin 3 Mugsy Bogues had a fairly long NBA career.

Who is he guarding in today’s NBA? Too many 6’6 PG’s now for a guy like that to get serious run.

I’m very curious to see if he can make it work because his skills and feel for the game are undeniable.

Very short for the pros but any time I think that about a player going pro Wake Forest's Muggsy Bogues always pops into my head. 5'3 and had a 14-year career in the NBA.

Is it already out there that Wheeler is going to K-State? Curious why everyone keeps mentioning that.

Won’t be much demand for a 5’8” 23-year-old. But he was one helluva college player and his stock won’t get any higher than it is right now. Can’t fault him for giving it a shot while the iron’s still hot.
This is the truth, he’s got game though.

That was a 18" difference.

Can't not laugh at this one. Yet he played 14 years, nearly 900 games and over 550 starts. Even had 39 blocked shots; you know those 39 guys never lived that down in the locker room.

He may be able to play in the NBA. He is very good at getting two foul shots off of passes.

This is a pivot but don't want to start a thread for it, what's BBN'S thoughts on Sanogo at UConn? I think he's one of the better bigs in college that a lot of people don't know about. Anyone catch some of their games this year?

Maybe somebody will waste a second round pick on him as a backup point guard?
I'd say he gets signed after the draft as undrafted.

To the G League or if I was him I would take my talents to China and make millions. He will dominant over there and he has a little Showtime to him.

China is your future my friend and ain't nothing wrong with millions of dollars
