Wow… 0-2 already and they have a cupcake schedule to boot… I think it’s safe to say they knocked themselves out of the CFP … they still have USC and a few other good teams they need to play but this team was overrated from the start of the season

They will get in with two losses, but you are right. They now have no margin for error.

Miami is looking like a top 5 team and A & M is extremely talented. Both 1 possession games. That’s just silly.

If ever a team deserved to be ranked with an 0-2 mark, it's the current Notre Dame team. And I hate Notre Dame.

Losing to Miami and A&M is a 1,000 times better than beating Albany and UMass. ND is no less a team because it lost to a couple of powerhouses. Even with three losses, ND is likely to make the CFP, and it would be deserving.

Chris Ash, who took Rutgers to the deepest, darkest hole of crappy football playing is now the DC at ND.

that's all you really need to know,
he is from ottumwa. his dad used to mow lawns around ottumwa, I think it was a retirement thing or something. chris ash was at isu I guess when his dad used to be around ottumwa, dunno if he still is or not....

Silly? Yeah those are tough teams but ND was coined as a “lock” for the CFP and same with Clemson… just going to be tough for them to get in the CFP…

Their defense seems to have taken a step backward for sure. It likely isn't talent level because they always recruit extremely well.

Notre Dame is one of the biggest brands in college football. The committee will do whatever it takes to keep them in the hunt and relevant. Too much money on the line not to.

They played two really tough teams and we played Albany and UMASS, ******** I would rather have the older non-conf schedule of playing tough teams

Have to agree with you as these games in the NC aren’t helping Iowa get better as they say iron sharpens iron

There is a reason that all of the B1G schools(other than Iowa) and the SEC play schools like that in their non con games. I can't believe Iowa doesn't.
It definitely wouldn’t hurt to get a good home and away with teams like S Carolina, Florida etc, not this Albany and Umass games

Iowa State is better than S. Carolina or Florida. Part of the problem with Iowa fans, myself included, is that we still view ISU as a below average program that we expect to beat. As a kid, they were on par with UNI. That's not the case now. They will be Iowa's tough non-conference game unless we stop playing them.

Well, I don't know about the 60 Million Missouri supposedly received, but a Walton family member gave 25 million a while back to build the basketball arena. Oh, and part of the Walton family was born and raised in Versailles MO which is about an hour or so from Columbia.

I think that a 3 loss ND gets in.
