Butler wants to be THE star wherever he goes. He didn't want to play second fiddle to KAT and he doesn't want to play second fiddle to Embiid now. Philly has built the team around Embiid and Simmons and that isn't gonna change. They needed Butler more for perimeter defense than scoring but that isn't the role he wants. He's a big baby who needs to grow the hell up.

Our definitions of soft are different. I think you are confusing durable with soft. On defense, no one is scared of KAT. Hence the knock on him as being soft. Butler is considered one of the best defensive players in the NBA.

The NBA is a star driven league and teams have a ton of money to work with. Jimmy will get max with Philly or someone else. Owners and GMs are in the business of winning...talent wins.
Yeah, you're wrong. Towns has been a monster since that trade. He's been pretty good defensively too. You probably don't know that because it seems like you've bought into a narrative. That's too bad.

What is your point? Does that make him soft or? And why are you on here defending a moron, and bashing a former UK player? What college team do you even root for? I’m so confused.
Dude is a figgins Knicks fan of all teams, the Knicks! He's supposedly a UK fan who likes to trash former UK greats. Im not sure where the Jimmy Butler love or KAT hate comes from, so weird.

I actually own a Knicks hat signed by KAT...had a small conversation with KAT before the draft. He wanted to be drafted by the Knicks. What could have been...

76ers have a winning record with him while Minnesota has a losing record without him. T-Wolves are also 3 places from dead last in the western conference currently. So they haven't fared very well without Butler.

With that said Butler needs a veteran coach who can spar back with him or else he creates too many media headlines that can be distractions.

But is the Wolves record since trading him? I know the answer, do you? That is the most important piece here

KAT put up another 28 and 18 with 4 blocks vs the Lakers. Once again, pretty good numbers for a guy I told was soft.

Lonzo Ball who I was told wasnt a bust put up 0 points 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Yeah, he's special and I see why he was compared to Magic and Jason Kidd.

At some point, maybe it's you.

You'd think you'd wait a bit to cause a ruckus after what happened in Minny. Like, you've been at the new job for a month, you really gonna take a two week vacation?

Bold move taking Sir Barkley's side. I like the guy, but Ern seems to disagree, so does most of fans, pundits, etc. I'm kind of impartial to the Butler/KAT spat. I think Butler is a bit of a hot head, and his antics in Philly when they lose is a bad look, but i also respect his fire.

But what can you ask of KAT? He's 23 and plays with Wiggins. Could he be more vocal, more of a leader, sure. But IDK why some people keep putting everything on KAT while we let guys like Wiggins, Thibs and the fact that it's -35 degrees in Minny, off the hook.

Kenny and Barkley basically blamed KAT for the team going 6-5 with an assistant coach and an injured RC.. you can't put that on KAT.

I cant believe KAT hasnt led Wiggins, Okogie, Bayless, Saric, and Taj Gibson to a top 4 seed in the west. Dude really isnt applying himself, that's a championship level lineup. I'm sorry but I have to laugh at the stupidity of these nimrod and their adopted narrative.

Shaq, Kenny and Chuck all agreed...KAT is a non-impact player who just puts up meaningless numbers.

What does that mean other than you're soft, cant think for yourself, and adopt others opinions? I keep asking for examples of him being soft, the best you can come up with is dudes saying he doesnt have impact on games during a game he dominated.

Keep in mind, this dude is a free agent trying to get a max deal and needs to be on his best behavior considering the cancer he was to his last 2 teams. He's so psycho he can't help himself.
No team in their right mind will give butler a max deal. That’s not happening. Teams and gms talk. Nobody wants him unless it’s a huge discount. Cousins who won’t get s max deal yet either next yr has a better shot than butler. It just goes to show you it doesn’t matter how good you are or how good you think you are there is always someone they can find better

Makes no sense. They are a 500 win team with no one of note outside of Wiggins and RC... Both of which are constantly dropped on my fantasy leagues (admittedly, not worth much lol). But they would be the worst team in the league if not for KAT.

What exactly should KAT do differently?

Nets and Clips both ready to pounce if Butler doesn't sign with 76ers.

But I think Butler resigns with the 76ers (for the max). Coaching staff has been putting the ball in Jimmy's hands more often of late. Even had him running the point when Ben was off and on the floor against the Lakers.

Sorry, but you have two formers #1 picks who both are on Max deals and they can't even make the playoffs. If you can't find the wrong in that, then we just see things differently.

Maybe when you are paying someone almost $200M, you would expect him to lead you to the playoffs.

Heck, when my Knicks strike out on KD, Kyrie and Kawhi, they will gladly pay Butler the max to save face.

That’s fine and dandy but how does the rest of the team feel? I know embid can’t be too happy

That's the point. Keep reading.

I’m just saying more people were talking **** about Thibs than Towns. There was plenty of blame on him and he got fired.

Aside from what Kenny, Shaq, and Charles have been saying there’s been lots of blame placed around Minny, not just on Towns.

More stupidity, they made the playoffs last year and are 3 games out with almost 30 games to go this year. That's with Jimmy Butler sabotaging the team to start the year and numerous injuries. Say they cant make the playoffs is as dumb as you saying KAT wont be an All Star. You are absolutely clueless.

Whoa whoa woah.. You're only talking about KAT. Where's the blame for Wiggins?

Davis' team won't make playoffs.. Cousins teams didn't. John wall couldnt do it with Arenas and Blatche..

Unfair to dog KAT when all he has are Wiggins and role players. Sadly he's making his team just good enough to stay out of a good lottery pick.

Because Thibs is a drill sesrgent who thinks his best players should play 48 min a game. He's terrible and players hate him. No players outside of Butler (a guy other players dislike), have a problem with KAT.

So you get it otherwise? This is faaaaar from a KAT problem.

Towns
22.6 PPG - 12.1 REB - 3.1 ASSISTS - 0 games missed this season and has no missed games in his career - By almost every account I've ever seen an amazing kid and teammate.

Butler
19.6 PPG - 4.9 REB - 3.7 ASSISTS - 11 games missed this year and has played more than 70 games twice in a nine year career. Has bitched his way out of
2 franchises and working on a 3rd.

Why are we still having this argument?
