I wonder did he actually die on Easter Sunday or did several days ago, and they kept him on ice until yesterday for full effect?

Cardinal Matteo Zuppi
69, Archbishop of Bologna and president of the Italian bishops conference

Cardinal Luis Tagle
67, of the Philippines, would appear to be Francis’ pick for the first Asian pope

Cardinal Robert Prevost
Chicago-born Prevost, 69,extensive experience in Peru, first as a missionary and then an archbishop, and he is currently prefect of the Vatican’s powerful dicastery for bishops, in charge of vetting nominations for bishops around the world.

Cardinal Pietro Parolin
Parolin, 70, of Italy, has been Francis’ secretary of state since 2014 and is considered one of the main contenders to be pope, given his prominence in the Catholic hierarchy

Note: All baptized Catholic men over the age of reason (7 years old) are eligible to be elected Pope.

Pretty ridiculous that in spite of all its resources and having the largest church in the world….that the Vatican STILL can’t get interest from a guy with proven head pope experience.

Considering that he appointed something like three-quarters of the people who will be voting for his successor, I have to think there's a black lesbian Marxist somewhere who is packing her bags as we speak. Hopefully the WNBA can survive another hit.
This is hopefully the point at which rock bottom has been reached and after flirting with disaster, a pope is elected that very clearly and fully believes catholic doctrine.

If they are smart, they’ll hire Saban. the Catholics seem like Bama in 2006. Former glory, but lost some luster, still have the name, fan support, and dollars to be back on top quickly. Just need the right hire.

Pope Polk l ?
Doubt that would work. It’s not the 1300’s anymore. While they’ve been patting themselves on the back for the atmosphere in St. Peter’s square with the Conclave smoke filling the air, and bragging about feeding the poor and destitute fans of other religions….other denominations have been building real congregations with full blown rock bands, IMAX light shows, and seven-figure mission trip budgets.

The Catholics’ fall from grace has been pretty sad to watch, honestly. It wasn’t long ago at all that they were considered the world’s greatest religion. Now all that they have left from that triumph is this crappy mural that somebody made about it:

I did read that all but one of the likely candidates are pro trans and same sex marriage. Yep, clearly he appointed a lot of like minded people.
