Thanks Brian. If an employee does not show up for work they can be terminated
There is precedent on that.
If the school does not do it that is on them

No problem DickThanks Brian.
Mine was a bit of a mess too but a lot of it was self-inflicted by our school district in my opinion. Our district bought chromebooks for everyone, but they won't be ready until October/November. They purchased Class link accounts for everyone to organize all apps into one login, not ready yet. Internet problems? Check. My 4 hour in person part of the day went well, except for the fact that all fun activities for kids are shutdown. No playground, in classroom gym, no community sharing of toys. For first graders, it's too strange and caused some problems. Not to mention that they're 6 years old and haven't been in a classroom in 6 months. I'm pretty tired. For us it was just brutal. 1st and K. Plus, my wife had her hands full with her Special Ed class. Normally she has only 3-4 graders. With all the restructuring, she also has 1-2 graders as well. And it’s not just the kids. She’s been doing tech support for hours before the classes even started just to get the parents to login with the kids. We probably said one word to each other all day. Just passing each other like lunatics from one fire to the next. Is it x-mas break yet?
WTF? Pretty dumb stuff right there (on the tech front). Why buy chromebooks if you are not getting them for 2 months? FYI, our wait list is up to 42 families. Half from Monty, the rest mostly from Princeton and WW.Mine was a bit of a mess too but a lot of it was self-inflicted by our school district in my opinion. Beats me but I'm sick of kids logging in on their phones and then can't do anything because it's too hard or they don't understand. Stupid administration.WTF? Monty's admin blows even worse. Their back to school orientation last week was such a disaster (tech, organization, planning, etc.) that tons of parents panicked and are desperately trying to get their kids into the local privates. FB community boards are in chaos. Funny stuff!Beats me but I'm sick of kids logging in on their phones and then can't do anything because it's too hard or they don't understand. Hang in there. Self inflicted is right. The last few weeks my wife has been in various amounts of despair/frustration/anger/fear. She’s been on more early morning/late night/weekend calls than I have ever seen - trying to sort out ever changing students/plans/etc. given by the admins (don’t mean to blame - these people have it tough too as their marching orders kept changing). As rough as today was, I think maybe she has a small sense of relief that they are at least getting on with it. The dramatic shifts of plans and responsibilities were starting to drive her a bit nuts.Mine was a bit of a mess too but a lot of it was self-inflicted by our school district in my opinion. Both poster nams are among the most level-headed, cool and collected in the history of the CE board.
You, on the other hand, are a proven troll who can't take what he dishes. Just like now.

Wife had many of the same issues as shared here. But her main takeaway was that the joy is gone. Kids not talking in the hallways, less interaction in class...it doesn't feel right.
Help me out here.. Who's Brian?
#unmask the kids, it's doing irreparable harm to them.
Brianoc, I think his full name was. He posted a lot years ago, then disappeared, possibly resurrected as Tom, who's got a bit more (quality) edge to him.
Now you're being an epic dope.
If you can't handle the truth, ignore me![]()
Brianoc. AKA my old screen name.Help me out here.. Who's Brian?
Oh.. hey Brian...
Picked up my daughter from her first day of school, stayed outside. All the other parents were outside too on a big, open, sprawling lawn. Parents weren't allowed inside, everyone knew pickup was going to be outside. I was the only one out of about 30 without a mask on, and we all had plenty of distance. It was pretty shocking to me. The difference between perceived and actual risk is wildly disproportionate. Dunno how we are going to turn this thing around, honestly. As long as we're testing 25k people a day, we're going to find a few hundred "cases" a day. Seems thats all its going to take to keep people acting bizarre.
It's bizarre to think you should, when outdoors, with well over six feet of space, when presenting yourself as a field.full of masked strangers to kindergarten students. It's not that bizarre (or difficult) to wear a mask when you're supposed to.

My SO teaches at an underprivileged public in central jersey and it is a **** f****** show good lord.
I feel terrible for her, the parents, and the kids. They are 100% going to pull the plug on the hybrid half day in a week. It’s going to take the entire half day for the kids to go through the dystopian temperature scanner

Brian used to post here. He and I worked in the same building and he used to challenge T2 when he posted nonsense. There were 4 or 5 of us who would read the posts but Brian would respond.Help me out here.. Who's Brian?
even when you agree with Murphy decisions, you have to complain.So.. what Murphy is saying is that his internal polls show voters hate him for keeping schools closed.
That.. "governor".. is so freaking arbitrary. I thought there were scientists and data and numbers that would call the shots... not "good reasons".. not a convincing argument from schools.

When Brian retired I set up an account and now I post
We are 2 different people but we both have knowledge about a specific issue that T2 likes to post about

How much you want to put down that Brianoc and Tom 1944 are different people.
