For those interested, the new AIC track is now available. Sounds good, looking forward to the new album soon.
AIC by far, not even close. Better lyrics, deeper, greater range, more authentic and truly grunge.
agree on all 3 counts...the more time passes the more I am convinced Nirvana was more a pop band than anything else
I’m a big Nirvana fan but man, the management of that band was horrible. At some point. You realize he guy was not well and maybe booking gigs wasn’t such a good idea.I think so. The thing about Nirvana was that they were clearly an unfolding Shakespearean tragedy. Cobain's tumultuous "to be or not to be" saga was never going to end well. Everything was week to week with that guy. You knew the headline was coming. You just didn't know how soon. It was a very morbid situation and the media jumped on it and pimped it. I never watched something like that. Cobain was the James Dean refresh. He had a look and vibe others didn't have. He could have played Jesus in a Zeffirelli film. Music wise, I never ever even think to listen to Nirvana. I just dont care. I learned some of their riffs because they are simple

So fellow 90s grunge lover.....So in anniversary of both frontmen's deaths Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley...8 years apart but on the same day eerily here is a question. What band do your prefer? What band do you actually listen to now? To me its Alice for both questions. I thought musically and lyrically they were better and I find them myself listening to their music regularly still. Nirvana almost overplayed and overhyped you have heard the songs millions of times, I do not remember the last time I actually listened to their music by choice. I think AIC's music holds up better over time. I cringe that Cobain and Nirvana were given majority credit for the grunge movement which had so many more bands offering as much and more.
You mean Staley, not Cantrell.I'm I'm sorry but Alice in Chains is not Alice in Chains without Cantrell. I've seen the new Alice in Chains on two occasions and it's just not the same.
