This year's Winter Classic is at the Cotton Bowl between the Dallas Stars and Nashville Predators. I'd love to see a Winter Classic game between the Flyers and Devils at RU Stadium at some point. Stars with some absolutely gorgeous uniforms.

The whole concept has jumped the shark. Just another regular season hockey game with nothing on the line.

To play pond hockey you have to hear the ice creek. Fall on your face because the ice won’t hold the blade. And jump over some tree roots. Gary Bettman would never risk hockey mom’s children with that. Just another marketing thing for him.

Agreed. Flyers have played well under Vin and a top tier NHL fanbase, but the Devils need to do the same to command this type of event.

Didn’t see any of the game, how was the ice? I know they’ve come a long way in being able to keep the ice playable, but low 50s temps and nhl skating, really?!?!?
