OT: Need Some Recommendations

I didn't want to start two separate threads and clog up the board so I figured I would ask for both recommendations here in one thread. The family and I are going to Nashville for a few days here in a week or two so I would appreciate any recommendations on places to eat and family friendly activities. I think we've already decided to do the country music hall of fame but any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Also, sometime in the near future I'd like to book an overnight tuna charter. I live in N. Alabama and I'm not particularly picky on where the charter leaves from. Basically anything from the Florida panhandle to Louisiana would be fine with me. I'll be going by myself so if you know of places that will take walk-ons that would be a plus. I've deep sea fished before but never for tuna and this has always been a bucket list item for me. I realize my timing is terrible right now with the fuel issues and whatnot but I finally got the green light from the wife to go. Bonus points for a captain and crew that have lots of patience for rookies like me.

We enjoyed Top Golf and Party Fowl for Hot Chicken in Nashville. Top Golf is fun for men, women and children of all ages.

Stay at Gaylord Opryland Hotel or at least walk thru it. Huge place - don’t get lost.
Take in a Sounds baseball game if they’re in town.
Tour Ryman Auditorium.
Country Music HoF
Go into Tootsies or Roberts Western World on Broadway in the middle of the afternoon with the kids. Get a PBR and a bologna sandwich at Roberts.
Merchants on Broadway is good restaurant.
The Southern is even better but pricier.
Martins BBQ
Arnold’s for a dang good meat and 3 lunch experience.
Lots of good restaurants in Nashville, just depends on what you want and don’t limit yourself to just downtown. Germantown area, West End, Belmont area, there’s even out by the airport a place called Darfons that’s a good restaurant if you’re staying out that way and don’t want to travel far that night. Bar B Cutie for lunch is right there as well.

I ate at Arnold's when I was in Nashville earlier this year. It was fabulous.

I'd also suggest Hattie B's.

The Frist Art Museum is one of my fave places to visit. They've got a great western art exhibition going on right now but you've got to get tickets in advance at their web site.

The Flying Saucer (beside the Frist) is a good craft beer place. They were closed earlier this year but they've since reopened.

I have been out several times with Captain Mike's on board the Escape out of Dauphin Island. They do walk up two night trips for either $850 or $830 per person a few times a year. That includes cleaning and tip. I will be on the one in October. I have done two of the overnight trips with them and they are so much fun. You will catch a lot of fish. The only downside is they don't do a bunch of them so if they have to cancel you might have difficulty rescheduling. But they will refund you no problem. Or just put you on another trip. That is how I ended up on the October trip, because mine two weeks ago was canceled.

I have tried some others, and won't any longer. They are the best.
