Entertaining a few VPs next week and was “advised” to have a few gift bags of local food items. Need some snack type ideas. Cant be anything refrigerated. So far we have Bakers chocolates and pipeline jerky. Any other ideas for a dog and pony show would be appreciated.

If it's allowed, get them a gift card for $50 - 100 dollars or more for something unique to Omaha or Nebraska. Then when they get home they could order something they wanted, if it happens to be refrigerated they could get it.

Also, anything from Volcanic Peppers; out of Bellevue. They make amazing hot sauces and salsa.

Hyvee generally carries their line

Don't forget Dorothy Lynch!! Although you can buy it at various Walmarts (but not all) that certainly is a Nebraska thing!!

I would assume there are local breweries that make local craft beer. If you are in Omaha I know Kinkaider Brewing Co (down by AkSarBen) has local beer (don't know how good it is as I don't drink beer) as well as their own local hard cider - which I had last fall and was pretty good. I don't know if their cans are available anywhere besides their bars.

Glacial Till is available at a lot of the grocery stores. I actually brought a few 6 packs home from Omaha.
