OT Nebraskas new slogan

I live in Texas and I travel to Louisiana to do my gambling. I stay in a hotel, eat at restaurants, etc.
When sports gambling becomes legal, like it is now in NJ, there will be even more reason to head to Shreveport or Lake Charles.
As far as the motorcyclists go, When we go to Sturgis, my buddies from Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri meet me in Colorado and drive through Wyoming. My cousin actually goes south from Omaha to meet us there. I know it is a small sample size, but the guys that I talk to who ride, will avoid states that have helmet laws
So " loud pipes save lives, " helmets not so much.....
Who defines honesty? Seems to me like there are a lot of interpretations out there.
The slogan is not for everyone.

Bro, these and the title are barely English. Not being rude, I don’t really know what you’re trying to say.
Nebraska needs to get back to basics. Horrible plates. Horrible slogan. I find lots of old Nebraska and South Dakota plates in some of my old farm barns and we used to have really cool easily identifiable plates. Now? Not so much. Ugly generic is the best moniker I can come up with for their style now. The slogan? Should have just said, "meh. Nothing to see here". If you're trying to promote the state I don't get it.
I agree with you, and I love the casino scene in Lake Charles. Used to frequent there a lot when I lived in Houston. That will be a pretty awesome spot once they get a sportsbook as it is already great.
Maybe I just don't "get it" but what is so wrong with wearing a helmet that it's worth avoiding an entire state? Do I just not understand the fun of taking a dragonfly to the face at 75 mph?
Not really, "tourism" usually doesn't really apply to locals. For example, if Yellowstone was just outside of Lincoln, do you honestly believe any of those 90,000 people would rather go to Yellowstone than watch Nebraska play football when they could go literally anytime they want. Tourists care about new experiences not something they have experienced or could experience everyday, its kind of the point of being a tourist.
yes I believe if a national park or mountain range with 1000s of miles of hiking, mountain biking, streams for kayaking, fly fishing etc was located in east/central Nebraska the attendance for a game between a winless team and a team like Illinois or Bethune Cook would severely suffer. If Nebraska's geography was similar to Utah's the demographics of the population would be quite different and consist of people who value higher the outdoor activities that such a geography offers. I doubt Nebraska would have a 90K stadium in these circumstances.

You might get a few border crossers but no one is saying, "Hey, let's fly or drive cross country to Tulsa to gamble." Those states are just enticing their poor folk to let go of their miniscule amounts of money and thus keeping taxes low on the rich.

Please define the definition of travel. Again I use their hotels and restaurants. Their tourism dollars are increased, it doesn’t matter if people are coming from Arkansas or Ohio.
I go to the casinos more now when I live in Texas than when I did when I lived in Oklahoma. I have only traveled to Vegas maybe 10 times in my life.

Yup, didn't want them in Nebraska and now that I'm in Wyoming I don't want the tourists here. Guess I'll never be director of the state tourism board.

If the government wonks that approved this slogan haven't lost their jobs by now, they need to lose them at 8:01 a.m. this morning. What a colossal waste of tax dollars and black eye for our state.
That's the thing about today's conservative/republican party. Their only conservative when it fit's their present time narrative. At least liberals make it clear where they stand. You sound more like a libertarian. I think truly that's where I stand. To each there own. But live with the mistakes you make and stand up on your own two feet.
