I'm opposed to Simmons being considered a rookie, but as it stands, Simmons is the better player and had the better season.

Simmons, easily.

Mitchell was a steal in the draft, he's flashy, he's probably going to score 25 ppg+ for a season sometime very soon, but Simmons is proving that he really is a 6'10" PG, with all the advantages that having a 6'10" guy at that position give a team. Yeah, he can't shoot, but there's still room in the NBA for guys who are great at everything but shooting, and that's Simmons.

Tough call. I would have to go with Simmons because he does EVERYTHING. Mitchell has been a huge steal and easily one of the brighter up and coming players. Just think, some coach didn't think he was good enough to leave.

Mitchell, since Simmons by TRUE definition is not a Rookie. He got the benefit of practicing against Pros, being managed by the best staff that money could buy and just like LSU, no classes......
