The jersey that I love the most is the early 1970s jersey with the oversized numbers during the Cappelletti years. I have a Nike white #22 in that style which has become my go to PSU jersey.

I understand your sentiment. I’d also like the Steelers to go back to the gray face masks; it’s a subjective thing. Maybe I’m just trying to rekindle the era when I first began watching PSU, the Steelers and even Pitt in the mid 70s; I loved that era which was a formative one for me.

I get it. That was just before my first PSU and Steelers memories, but the same uniform tendencies. With that being said, I absolutely love the Seahawks royal blue throwback uniforms they have been wearing. It makes me reminisce of Steve Largent and Curt Warner. It’s a sweet looking uniform.

I wonder how many here wore "mickey mouse" girdle pads in their playing days. My first year of "Pop Warner" they gave me a helmet with leather ears and a hard top (no face mask. In 9th grade my helmet was a "MacGregor" with "geodetic suspension."
