Coast Dawgs!!!, The weather and wind looks like it’s going to be right towards the end of the week. Just in time for a Fathers Day weekend Campaign. Screw the Corona and everything else going on. It’s time to go fishing. Them Trouts a running! Whose catching??

Not MS coast, but lower Alabama. Had good day yesterday with beeliners, mangrove snapper, spadefish, and Spanish. All the red snapper we caught were under sized. Supposed to be 1 foot or less into the weekend. Should be good time to head offshore.

Yes, they are thick right now. Catching them under corks with plastics. Should be hitting the croaker pretty good now that we’re in June. Just wait til the sun is good and up if you use croaker, they won’t bite until then.

Went to Freemason last weekend and did okay on trout. The weather sucked and water clarity was terrible.

I heard the bite is starting to pick up at Horn and Ship. Hoping to smash some snapper and trout this week.

Hitting the Biloxi marsh via BSL Saturday. With such a great tide Saturday, if the wind stays under control I should put together a box. Crazy that’s it June and it’s my first trip out of BSL this year...

Me and a buddy are heading out of BSL Thursday and Friday headed to the Marsh. Maybe hit Cat Saturday. Buddy has had some good trips before the storm. We shall see. Usually use short popping cork and Plastic. I heard a rumor that an angler saw commercial fisherman using purse seigns on Cat the night before the last Full Moon. I know several that caught a Bunch of fish out there that day before and then shot blanks the next day. Fish were all gone. I hope that doesn’t start messing up the fishing out there.

If you’re doing artificial, they’ve been doing well on pink champagne matrix shad under a popping cork.

Tiger bait matrix has been producing for me

The water is super, super muddy in BSL. Same today and it was on Sunday - brown as ****. Today was super, super calm though. Conditions should be very good through this weekend. Friday and Saturday are going To be good days. You have a new moon both those days that will be overhead around lunch, so I wouldn’t rush to the water at daylight.

Horn island (minus the cove on west tip) has been as clear as I've ever seen it this spring/summer. Down by the lagoons was unreal about a month ago.

I have not been back out after Cristobal, though.

My go to has been the Matrix Ultra Violet. I may have to get a pack of tiger bait or Pink Champagne and try in that stained water. We are headed to Marsh in AM. Will keep posted on my findings.

Just spent four days out at chandelier. Almost no bite over the weekend but wore them out Monday and water was clear as hell.

We put together a really good box yesterday in marsh using a 3’ popping cork with Ultraviolet Matrix. Water looks better out that way than it does in BSL

Fished Saturday. Early trout bite was almost all undersized at Door Point. Moved in the marsh and wrecked the redfish and found a few trout. Hot bait of the day was a clear/red flake vudu. Also caught several trout on a green hornet vortex Shad. Caught a few reds on a avacado/white w/chart tail swim bait. We had some live shrimp for a few anglers on our boat. They got some reds on it. Caught a big bull on the vudu that was released
