Space Balls - I see my Schwartz is longer than yours.

I walked out of that movie 20 minutes in. The only Mel Brooks flick I can watch is Young Frankenstein. Bad puns get old pretty quickly.

The Princess Bride is too much like "Airplane" humor for my tastes. I like the rest of the flicks you mentioned, other than Goonies, which I've never seen. I watch Raiders of the Lost Ark at least once a year. One of Spielberg's best ever.

Surprised that Airplane even made a sequel. Princess bride I never watched until I had kids and they all loved it. Different Strokes for different folks. I watch raiders of the Lost Ark, whenever I find it on TV.

Surprised no one has mentioned, E.T. It was in the theaters forever.

To everyone who has appreciated this thread: if you love these movies you would love watching The Goldbergs. So well done, and tons of 80s nostalgia. Plus the funny is done in a sweet way, not mean-spirited.

Friday the 13th. I am a horror aficionado. I would say Halloween, but the first one was in '78, so not sure it counts. Although, there are so many good films from the 80s it is tough to choose.
