OT - Movie review - TED

[Maroon Flounder]

Guy humor...off the chain...your wife/gf will be offended. Marky Mark and the teddy bear...funny as ****. Wrong on so many levels...in a funny way. My side still hurts.</p>

To make it sports related...there is a scene at Fenway.</p>

They threw a lot of stuff against the wall. Most of it stuck... in a big way. My only gripe is that a couple of scenes went on too long. Like the party in Ted's apartment.<div>
</div><div>Every line out of Ted's mouth is gold. Making fun of fat kids, Susan Boyle and the stuff he says to the grocery store manager. Wow.. And I don't know how they got away with him pretending to be retarded at the end. Maybe stuffed teddy bears putting on like Corky are immune to political correctness. In any case I haven't heard any outcry from mommy groups on that one. Seriously shocking.</div><div>
</div><div>Giovanni Ribissi creeping out to the Tiffany video was a riot. The college kids in my screening were chuckling.. the older farts like me were doubled over in laughter.</div>

The wife and I saw it Saturday. She laughed more than I did. There was a woman sitting behind me that said more than once this is stupid. I wanted to turn around and ask her what she expected? It's an R rated movie about a %$%@$$% talking bear.

I took it as more of a stroke victim than a 'tard, but whatever it was, it was the funniest part of the movie. I laugh every time I think about it. My wife loved it too.

I haven't laughed that hard in a movie theater since The Hangover (original, not the sausage-fest sequel). </p>

I know that's much help for you coming from me, but I agree. It sucked. I got tired of the cheap laughs from Ted way too early in the movie.

I have not watched an Oliver Stone movie since Natural Born Killers. That was the worst damn movie in the history of talking pictures. I just do not understand how the same guy that made Platoon could have made that garbage.
