I got the Mets and Rutgers. My only saving grace was the Giants, but the last decade of only 2 winning seasons and playoff appearances has been a rough go of it.

My wife always asks, "why do you always like the teams that suck?" My answer, "life wasn't meant to be easy".

Lived in Houston for a few years as a kid: yeah, I remember that UT/A&M rivalry.

That A&M / uterus rivalry never ended…they familial hate is real and strong as ever…eliminating cow from the CWS and regionals two of three years is a nice salvo to resume the loathing.

PS: why isn’t every team from the trash heap state of Florida in that list…? Being in the bug and reptile infested poop hole should be enough to get you in.

But in Austin, the deeper hate is truly reserved for the Boomers Sooners across the border to the north, even moreso than for Aggies.

Much like Rutgers, the fans are starving for some victories over the power programs in the conference. We don’t even have a Southern version of RutgersAl.

Well my favorites are at #1 , #5 and #6. I’m not all that miserable though, my expectation level for each is pretty low, so the disappointment level is minimized.
