Looks like the stimulus bill is getting sent back to Congress. $600 was not enough. The President wants $2000 for every American except for Fishwater.* Thank God the socialists aren't in charge yet.**

Haha I love fishwater’s humble brag. He probably thinks he’s the only one to not get the money last time.

I was muddling through the bill earlier today. Six hundred bucks- two grand- doesn't matter...it's diversionary tactics. Nothing to see here, morons.
I noticed billions going into researching....
How the novel corona virus could have been genetically engineered and intentionally released for the furtherance of interests of...The Peoples Republic of China.
And millions going to Pakistan for...
gender equality campaigns.
I'll stop myself there for today. I only read for about an hour. Only 4800 more pages to skim through.

All you got to do is some simple math. 330million people in this country. If every single person got the $600 that’s only 198 billion. Yet it’s a 900 billion bill. And we all know not everyone will be getting it, like fishwater.

Red, blue, donkeys, elephants..... it doesn’t matter. They are all crooked and have zero interest in representing the people that elected them. If you think politicians give a single care about the people, you are an idiot. They only care about the people if they have something to gain from it.

I think its pretty sad when they sign 900 billion and the people are only getting about 300 billion of it. I think we should get 2000 but it should come out of Cambodia and Venezuelas cut. Maybe cut that gender study out. I know its hard to tell the genders apart in Pakistan but maybe if they stop wearing pants they could tell them apart

Got any suggestions you are willing to go before Congress to try and change it? Are you willing to go to a Civil War to fight for a different system?

Civil war not necessary.

Voting against incumbents and making folks in Washington less comfortable is a more sane approach.

I’m not sure what the Pakistani Gender silly **** was but I love when people raise hell at some 2 million dollar line item in the budget. In the grand scheme of things 2 million dollars in the US budget is the equivalent of $1 to someone making 1.75 million dollars a year. I know we have to start somewhere but people look at millions and think it’s waste. SS Medicare and Military are where all the money is really spent.

Cannot happen. System is designed to protect incumbents. Without term limits, it cannot be fixed for my grand children.

And you would be surprised at how many patriots are ready to fight and die if need be to save the Republic that they believe in.

If they go to $2,000 per, take it out of something else in the package; keep the package at the same amount.

Get rid of the Asia Owns Our Collective Asses donations and I might take the raise, otherwise Bernie Sanders kids and those 17ers living in the street in Portland will counted on to pay it all back.

Patriots already fought and died. Don't waste the vote they earned for you in order to chase down some romantic idea of patriotism that's already been carried out. Vote the incumbents out. Fighting is only necessary when they won't leave after you've instructed them to.

This reminds me of one of my favorite song lyrics: “They’re gonna ruin the air that we breathe Lord have mercy, they’re gonna ruin us all bye and bye. I’m telling all you beware I don’t think they really care I think they just sit up there and just get high.”

You cannot vote them out in the current system. Unless of course you have the Democrat 2020 plan.**** You can stick your head in the sand but there is coming a time when voting will have to be protected by armed guards.

Pretty sure you can still be voted out of office.

I think you might have a problem with the way people are voting. I do too, but where you and I diverge is that I would prefer people wisen up and stop voting for the same folks year after year. You want to bail on the American experiment and blow it up with violent revolution instead of some constitutional approach. If our founding patriots intended for the country to be run via the end of a barrel, a republic would not have been formed.

Theoretically, yeah, you can be voted out of office. In practice, not really. It's damn near impossible to get a decent candidate to run against an incumbent because that's political suicide. So as a voter your choices are an incumbent you really don't like or a fringe candidate who's even worse. For example, I voted for Cindy Hyde-Smith even though I think she's a terrible senator. But my choices were Chris McDaniel, Gerard Gibbert (Xena Reb's husband), Josh Randel and Mike Espy.

That's more of a symptom of a lazy electorate

We allow ourselves to perpetuate the two party nonsense. Same arguments every year. My party good. Your party bad. Binary garbage. Wash, rinse, repeat. There's nothing in the constitution that puts us in that predicament. At some point the voters or the parties get fed up with it. Voters shop elsewhere. Or parties split and attempt power grabs. Hell, we could be close to that with both the democrats and republicans attempting to eat their own these days.

What really gets in my crawl concerning our national budget, or lack thereof is how we 17n borrow money from China to give the rest of the world.

Participate in the process.

So where else should I have shopped for a new senator? I’ll hang up and wait.

Help organize for better alternatives. Write ins. You know....democratic process. That or wait until the established parties give you better alternatives that work for you and not for party maintenance. We will be waiting a long time unless their egos happen to bring down the parties first. Possible, but I'd prefer to see the power redistributed via citizens forcing the issue.

You can’t bury your head in the sand and think “vote them out” is simple.

Term limits.

How do we force term limits on them without them making it a law?

That’s just it, it’s not $2 million in a budget, it’s $10 million in a COVID RELIEF BILL, what exactly is that $10 million relieving other than our not so fat wallet.

Never suggested it is simple.

But I would argue it's easier for people not to knee jerk fall in line with status quo / 2 party support than bringing about a constitutional amendment for term limits or a change from revolution. Falling in line or sitting out of elections just enables the continuation of the 2 party stranglehold that has created a bloated government , ineffective legislature, and a too powerful presidency. A logical first step in changing that would be "vote different". Poll after poll says we hate our government, yet we go to the ballot box and vote the same legislators back in every cycle. It's insanity.

And your suggestion for giving party establishment some resistance?

Hilarious. Good luck going up against the party establishment.

Term limits just change the name, not the establishment. Do we just take it and hope for the best?Cross parties if the establishment gets out of hand? Go full maga and disrupt with crazy? Go full woke and disrupt with crazy?

Just remember... Every dollar we put into into the economy without an increase in output to match will eventually lead to inflation if the money is not taken out of circulation as demand (Velocity) picks up...

There are only 2 ways to take money out of the system. Raise interest rates or raise taxes.

You know that won’t happen, They’ll just raise the national debt some more, what’s new? Both parties have been all for raising the national debt recently.
Joe comes in, and if Senate turns blue taxes will go up significantly for most.
Buckle up!!!

I can remember when over a trillion dollars was real money. One of the main reasons we are where are is to many people have said “it’s just a trillion bucks” or voted for those people. And I used trillion as that and change is about 5% of our debt.
