it paid Lakeside Alliance as the project’s construction manager and that Lakeside was responsible for hiring, managing and paying subcontractors working on the center.

I hope to see all who are contractually due payment are paid in full and quickly. And if outstanding invoices havent been paid on time, I hope to see any contractually owed penalties are also paid to the harmed vendors.

Semi-OT, but am I the only one that doesn't understand presidential libraries? Not every president is that significant, and it seems like most of them should be housed either as part of an existing functioning library or museum, or just with the National archives? I can get somebody visiting the Obama one just because of the first black president thing, but outside of that, how many people would really go to presidential libraries as a stand alone attraction? Maybe I'm just an incurious neanderthal, but they just seem like an unnecessary drain on donors. Also, Obama's is hideously ugly and an eye sore.

I don’t know what happened in this situation, but after working with lots of subs, I’m willing to bet they haven’t quite finished everything they are wanting to be paid for.
