Barth's, really? I'm partial to the Joes at Town Deli across from the NPTS, but will have to try them.

If you haven't been in Barth's since the expansion, or if you were there early on, check it out. They have a whole new array of offerings - sandwiches, salads, something called Poke balls.

Anyone been here?

It has dozens of 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor

They were even voted the best deli in South Jersey by SJ magazine

The Hidden New Jersey Deli That Makes The Best Sandwiches Ever

New Jersey does delis right. Wherever you go, you can find a fantastic sandwich with the freshest meats and cheeses. But what if you couldn’t find the best, because it was tucked away behind a custard shop? The good news is, that will never happen, because I’m going to tell you exactly where you can find some of the most mouthwatering sandwiches in the state.

I moved to DC from Livingston 20 years ago. My kid now goes to summer camp with kids from Livingston, Millburn, etc. Every visiting day I have one of the parents get me a Godfaddah from Millburn deli and a bagel with whitefish salad from Livingston bagel. Nothing better.

I forgot about Taliercios. I agree with you. Great place. I haven't been there in so long as I don't get up to Middletown much these days.

Another shout out for Taliercios in Middletown on Rt 35. The undisputed champ in my book. Used to bring their subs to HPSS and chow down on them at half time. Best eats in the stadium.

Use to work in Metuchen 30 years ago. Use to go to a deli on rte 27 . I think Obama went there when in office.
I thought it was good.(pastrami on rye and a pickle out of the barrel). Is it still there?

$5.50 for a Pork Roll / Egg sandwich seems pretty expensive. Most places it's about half that price. Of course in Millburn the commercial rents are probably pretty high, lol
I would say this is right on par. Haven't seen one under $5 in a long long time

All I got is a sub shop recommendation. Underrated Cash Only place not many people know about is Big Wally's in Parlin. Great bread they get in from NY and if they run out they will close up shop for the day until the shipment the next day comes in.

Taster sub is not a deli... there seems to be confusion as to what constitutes a true deli whether they be Jewish Kosher...Italian ... Polish...Sub shops are much different than a true deli...

I have family in Livingston, and Livingston Bagels is tremendously overrated by you people. I tried it again last weekend and ordered four bagels: two black russian, two sesame. 3 sides of them barely had any seeds, and one side had a quarter-sized chunk missing from it.

Being a Sayreville War Memorial HS alum, I think every Friday of my Senior year I ended up getting a sammich from Big Wally's

The Milburn Deli has many in that area that swear it's the best.
But there are some in that neck of the woods that swear by the Town Hall Delicatessen in South Orange and it's selection of Deli food.
There seems to be a fair share of people on both Deli's side that feel their place has the best Sloppy Joe's

I lived in South Orange until I was 9 and the moved to Millburn. I grew up on both versions. Have long time friends form both towns and we're in a perpetual state of war over which deli make the best joes. My firm opinion, having tasted both, is that Millburn Deli is better, more flavorful. Especially washed down with a pint of their iced tea. Classic!

No votes for Cioffi’s in Springfield?

Anthony and his family will be pretty disappointed.

Millburn Deli is the best example of the North Jersey Sloppy Joe - which is one of the best examples of local authentic unique food. Grew up in Millburn and much has changed. But the Millburn Deli Sloppy Joe is still the best sandwich ever created.

Also played football for Millburn. Never knew I could get a free sammy! That alone would have been good for a few more wins.
