What is that act?
What is the mindset to allow yourself to dress like that in public?
I've read where she says she feels powerful and intimidating, she gets satisfaction seeing men embarrassesd (Jimmy Kimmel) and unable to look her in the eye.
Is it good for her teenage fans to want to emulate her? (please don't bring up parenting especially if you have no kids)
Is it easy to just say who cares?
What if she dressed hyper conservative, like say The Duchess Catherine? would that interfere with her being a "liberal freak"…her words!
If you take a black and white, yes or no stance…is her overall influence and presentation good or bad?

Just curious what you think…?

Everyone has seen her hoo-hah. Any "outfit" she might wear is anti-climactic.

Give her a few years and she will be an absolute train wreck. She is an embarrassment plain and simple.

Being an old guy, I think about some of the performers who were considered outlandish back in their day. As for Miley, I cannot vouch for her ability to sing. She is on that "look at me" train and the bar keeps getting raised every time she steps out into the sunshine. Hard to imagine what she will have to do to keep people interested in paying to see her.

I think she will be fine, I think what she does is very calculated and planned. She does things to shock you to stay in the spotlight which now a days is hard to do.

Sex tape. I've just been biding my time on that one.

Read up on her, I think she has a bit more of an inflated opinion of herself…she wants to "save the elfin world" another quote.

Predictions.
1). She will marry Justin Bieber and have a baby. They will quit the Entertainment business and move to a small town in central New Hampshire and live a quiet family life.
2). Syracuse University will win the National Football championship this year.
3). I will win the Megamillions and Powerball lotteries in the same week.

I forgot about her outward public endorsement for smoking marijuana…you have a pretty strong uphill battle on your hands if your young teen is smoking weed.

She's 22.

Which is plenty old enough.

For... ya know... stuff.

I have a theory. The more costumes and dancers and dancing a performer does the less talent they have. Hasn't failed me yet.

What's she got that the other 3.52 billion women in the world haven't got?

I agree, I'm just wondering because she has influence on her following if she should be more proactive in explaining to young teens it's not good to do.
Not her job? I understand, but since she wants to help save the world, a no drug use stance with young teens would go a long way.

I feel bad for her. I can't imagine what her father thinks.

And I'd smash my TV before letting my young kid's eyes be scarred by her image.

The 80s and 90s were pretty conservative, this is the response. Don't worry if you have very young kids now, this won't be "cool" when they are older.

So I take it this had something to do with the MTV Awards show that was on 15+ channels last night?

A platform.

You have performers like her and on the opposite side Taylor Swift. Who's had the better career and will outlast the other? When you keep trying to be more and more outrageous you're looking at a big fall unless there is real, big time talent to back it up. Don't see that with MC.

I don't care if she streaks around the stage with nothing on, it's not going to help her musical ability. All shtick and no soul.

Attention *****, she NEEDS people to look at her and tlak about her. She can't get that with any talent so she has to act like a *****, besides cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Completely Agree, and have also thought this...
Recall, Robbie Robertson said of The Band, something to the effect - We don't set off explosions, cut our heads off on stage, we play music.
As to, dad - probably couldn't get all that close (no idea, if he would be so inclined). She's probably surrounded by sycophants and "advisors".

You don't need talent to be successful in music today....you just need "people". Even if she's not Katy Perry the world is a better place with Miley in it...she isn't a big pain in the @$$.

I saw her on the Jimmy Kimmel show and I said out loud "what is she wearing!". She had nip covers whatever they are called. When she starts talking you realize she is a smart girl. I think it is a character she created to propel herself to superstar the way spiderman wears leotards. I think she wears sweat pants and t-shirts at home.

ehhh- seriously, who the F cares. She is an entertainer.

Sh is no longer Hanna Montana and if anyone is sending their to her show, they are the ones who are idiots. This girl is actually very smart and in some ways I do think she is trying to create a different image.
And then, I see some huge stars in the hip hop world who are the same age and are much worse.

She is being "judged" on Hanna Montana unfairly. Is he any different then Madonna, Gaga or Niki M?

Zap- u just getting old - In your playing days- I'm betting you would have been afan...:) lol

Michael Jackson certainly was an exception. Now his sister Janet; not so much.

I'm not a huge fan of her mainstream pop stuff, but ragging on her for not having talent is incorrect.
