And for those thinks that he says things that are "off" or "mean," he has a very good side.
I initially typed "a good heart." Which, if the report of heart attack is true, he had a heart issue. Not trying to be funny.
As we age into our 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, it is important to keep an eye on markers of heart disease, including but not limited to apoB (which is like LDL cholesterol but not the same-if your MD does not know what apoB is, consider a new doctor or a cardiologist), A1C, trigylcerides, inflammation markers like hsCRP, etc. (I think we have MDs on board who can chime in. While not definitive, a coronary artery calcium (CAC) scan can be had for $99 or less and shows calcified plaque in your arteries. CITM is another test that shows non-calcified plaque.
Diet is important, but many MDs do not talk about diet, and they should. So is exercise. These two are common sense, but have a lot of close friends who will not make lifestyle changes on diet/exercise and instead go to the pharmacy. But it is hard to make lifestyle changes. I have seen relatives in the same situation die young.
Sorry for the rant. But hopefully some people can take something from this. Still pulling for Mike Leach to make it through.
