All of On3.

Milb still works thankfully. I 95% post from my cell but since the daily updates are a little more tedious it was easier to do it from a non mobile.
Not sure what your setup is at work, and if this would make a difference, but sometimes I switch to my mobile hotspot when I get blocked at work for certain websites.

Just got invited to opening day with a work buddy/client. Will be my first opening day in like a decade.

Citi continues to be a pain in the a$$ to get to from NJ.

Was just discussing this- Highlands Ferry and option, or not on opening day?

Absent that, seems quickest from Monmouth County is a train from Metropark to MSG, and 7 or LIRR.

Yes, seastreak brought back an expanded schedule to mets games, including opening day. that said, opening day is already sold out, so that option is out.
i might drive to Secaucus, train to penn, lirr to citi.

Jared Young and Richard Lovelady have made the OD roster.

Brujan, Rortvedt, and Hudson all DFAd.
You just can't keep Dicky down.

The Mets have certainly tried. In the three month span July-September 2025, they DFA'd him three times. The first two times, he cleared waivers, accepted assignment to Syracuse, and worked his way back to the Mets. The third time, he elected free agency, signed with the Nationals, was DFA'd this month, signed with the Mets again, and made the opening day roster as the second lefty in the pen. He is currently assigned #76 although that could change.

While we're talking numbers - Carson Benge will be rocking #3. Tyrone Taylor, who had been wearing #15, will need a new number since 15 is about to be retired. My guess is that we'll see him in #2.

. . . Citi continues to be a pain in the a$$ to get to from NJ.
When they were going to replace Shea, I always had this hope--based on nothing but my preference--that they'd build the next stadium in Long Island City. It was kind of a dump back then and seemed to have land that could be converted near the East River. Shorter commute for most everyone, except Long Islanders, great views of the river and Manhattan, and defintely better for NJ fans. But it was just a dream . . .

The bloop shows the sun must have been a problem. and if he is only recent to CF- then you can understand it. But man- bad way to start a year for him.

With today's game- can't be too unhappy- Peralta will be much better- not going to worry much about him.

The lineup- Even with Bo 3 K - he had one hell of an AB with the 13 pich one. And he is one of the 3 bats I am not worried about.

Everyone else- great job. Love seeing Benge get his HR out of the way in game 1.

And falling behind 2-0 against Skenes and then just blow him up- could be a really fun season.

Just one game, and no conclusions can be drawn.Yet it's interesting to note that last year, we all had three criticisms of this team's offense - that they did NOT:

* Work the count
* Put balls in play
* Tack on runs.

Today, this Mets team did all of those things.
As the commentators mentioned a bunch we saw the vision of the team Stearns wanted lineup wise. Players who work the count, fight pitches off, less swing and miss etc. Lineup is longer and a big key to that will be Alvarez living up to his potential. We also looked a bunch more athletic. Fun times ahead I hope.

AAA Cuse opens today with Jonah Tong getting the start. Most of the other leagues start next Thursday/Friday.

Jonah Tong tonight - 4 innings, 73 pitches, 0 runs, 1 hit, 2 walks, 4 K's. That'll play for opening day.

Seven of the Mets top 30 prospects are in Syracuse: Tong, Ryan Clifford, Jack Wenninger, Nick Morabito, Ryan Lambert, Dylan Ross, and Jonathan Pintaro. Also worth watching are Christian Scott and of course Ronny Mauricio.

Reimer will be there as well most likely. Scott is back in St Lucie lengthening out and will be with Cuse shortly.

Ross is hurt and has begun the year on the IL. Haven't heard anything on the injury at this point.
