Go to the south end of town. At the Wal-Mart, grab their popcorn and sit in the parking lot for the dinner show

If you're looking for a good steak, you can't go wrong with Tico's, Ely's or Shapley's. I'd probably go with Tico's because it has more of a unique, relaxed atmosphere for an upscale restaurant......

Isn’t Tico’s owned by a huge OM tool. I have never spent a dime there.

Played golf at LSU, no idea if he's a tool, always nice to me when I'm spending money there. Steaks have always been good, but I go very rarely. I think he was the manager of the Ruth's Chris in Northpark many moons ago.

He always makes a huge production of hosting and feeding the OM football team whenever they pass through. To my knowledge, he has never done that for State.

If you’re wanting really good, consistent food with some local flare then without a doubt it has to be Walker’s Drive Inn!!!!! Then head to Caet wine bar or the Apothecary inside Brent’s Drugs for after dinner drinking all in Fondren District.

And for crawfish fish and atmosphere it isdbugs mugbugs no doubt!!

You honestly can’t beat Walker’s for lunch or supper. The food I have eaten at Manship is hit or miss. I work right across the street and nothing can beat the smell of that wood fired oven though. Especially when you mix in the smells of the 2 BBQ restaurants situated in the same area. It is heaven.

He's an LSU guy and I think a pretty good guy with lot's of golfing buddies and

restaurant faithful's that went to lot's of different colleges, he is a good businessman. I don't think his steaks come close to Shapley's and Ely's but that's just my opinion.

I don't know, and to be honest I really don't care. I love to hate everything about OM on the internet and in sports arenas, but in real life, I don't blacklist high quality businesses strictly because the owner is an OM fan.

Most folks would be suprised, but

Fenian's has some really good food, too.

They have some awesome burgers.

A few years ago, they hired a new chef, and he's transformed that place. He does some awesome things, there.

I walked out of a business during Christmas in Memphis because they started trashing state. Used to really like that place too.
