Hey Costco members their 4-pc urethane ball is in stock online again. Great ball. They also have a new 3-pc ball urethane for the first time ever. Get them while they last.

What is surprising is that quite a few unknown golfers have won the Masters. This year with all the high profile players performing at a high level,I would say Watson,Mickelson ,Thomas and McIlroy will be in the hunt on Sunday.

I think it's Justin Rose's turn to put on the green jacket.

The Masters is always anticipated, but this year has a lot of extra juice. Can't wait.

So if I may ask, how would you compare these balls with their well known comps? Thanks. I vaguely recall hearing about these but don’t recall the details. Many thanks.

4-pc plays a lot like the TaylorMade Tour Preferred from 2016

3-pc is brand new and no one has tried it, today is first release but it should be a lower compression urethane ball like Bridgestone B-RX

For all Masters fans I highly recommend downloading The Master ringtone to your phone. I did this yesterday. Normally I wouldn't enjoy a lot of calls or text, especially at work but this is awesome !

I suck but am just getting good enough to play different balls. I was using Pro V’s but tried the Chrome Soft old man soccer print balls. Have you played those? I really like them.

Those are not old man balls Cali, chrome soft is Phil’s ball, minus the soccer ball markings.
Can you spin it like Phil?
Those are great balls up north for the fall

Chrome Soft is an excellent ball. I think Tom Watson is/was using the soccer ball version (truvis).

I play mostly with Pro V1’s but have used Chrome Soft soccer prints for about half my rounds last year. I like them but can’t spin them like the Pro V1’s. As a result, they don’t hold the greens as well. They are good for early Spring and Fall for me when the greens are softer. I do like the TaylorMade ball as well TP5, but prefer all Titleist balls over the others

Those in charge at Augusta have decree that any fan yelling "Dilly Dilly" will be escorted from the premises.
Those in charge at Bud Light have found a hilarious way around the problem.

This marketing campaign has been a huge success in the Philadelphia market place. Bud Light sales (and market share) are way up in the first 3 months. Coming very soon will be Philly Philly cans.
They are spending big time too. We had plenty of Dilly Dilly shirts to give away during the Eagles run. This week they made Go Nova Dilly Dilly shirts.
My concern is their last 2 commercials weren't that funny.

I'm giving the blue Titleist Tour Softs a try this year.

I meant the ball markings. They are a great optical allusion though. Put those balls next to a white one and they look gigantic.

I was at Phil's club in San Diego, The Bridges, a couple of weeks ago and was next to him on the range as he was practicing. It's just such a different sport as to what those guys do. So no. I can't do anything Phil can do with a golf ball, except hit it. And sometimes I can't do that.

Tiger currently ranks seventh in total strokes gained per round relative to the field — not bad for an old guy coming back from spinal fusion surgery. He’s also doing most of the same old things pretty well, earning a 14th-place ranking in strokes gained per round on approach shots and an 11th-place showing with the putter.

Top eight player in the world, already. As he says, "I remember how to do this." Believe him.

Just needs a bit more time to drill down on the fine tuning...like him to win the British Open. By then, if healthy, he'll be truly sharp.

Tiger will be shown the true players at these majors.
Oh yeah, because he's not one of those. You're comical at this point. Get my $100 ready, this very well might be the week. Vegas Insider has him locked with Speith as co-favorite, at 10-1 to win the 2018 Masters.

Going to be exciting.

Was just watching Jack in the Par 3 on TV. He is 1 off the lead.

But at 78 years old he physically looks so much different than a few years ago. Hope he is with us for awhile.

His grandson just made a hole in one on the 9th. Is this the one who went to Rutgers?

No, the one who was at RU played lacrosse here. The grandson that hit the ace is 15 years old.
Great shot! Grandpa is proud.

And Knightmoves is sadly right. Jack is struggling to walk. Have to be honest it's a bit emotional to see him aging so fast these past few years. Jack was and is my lifelong sports hero. But he sure is having fun today.

Tiger played well in Florida, but not so sure he can get away with hitting an iron off most of the tees at Augusta.

would be great if he played great though, and was in the mix.

Jordan and Justin Thomas have to be the favorites, with Bubba, Rory, Dustin, Rahm, Rickie, Reed, Rose in the next group.

as i said a while back, my dark horse pick is Brian Harmon.

My long shot pick is Tony Finau. First trip on this track but this course should fit his game.

Great article.

Phil is not liked anywhere near where Tiger is liked among Tour players IMO. I heard some stories at private clubs in Scottsdale AZ a few years ago from PGA teachers that made that clear. This was based on the words from a guy who played wPhil in college and still sees him.

My sister in laws husband works at Ridgewood CC, said Phil was very cold to the employees there, said most of the golfers were great, but not Phil. Said he is very different when the camera is not on him.

Speaking of Ridgewood CC, the first weekend of the FedEx Cup will be there, and they are looking for volunteers. Lots of different positions to volunteer for. I volunteered for the Barclays a few years ago at Ridgewood and enjoyed it. Plus they throw a great party for the Volunteers on Sunday at the end. They hired Southside Johnny and had an open bar and buffet. Great show, and good time.

Never really know about this stuff. I heard the direct opposite from someone who worked a couple tour events. I have heard that Phil in his younger days was not necessarily the nice guy he's grown into today.

His tourney almost ended before it started today. Celebrating an Ace on #7 he twisted his ankle pretty badly on the wet grass. Announcers were concerned for a bit but appears that it looked worse than it was.

I too have heard the opposite. I've heard that Tiger was not liked by anyone. Was a real prick. But when he became part of the Ryder Cup support team things changed.
And many young pros say Phil is an inspiration about being fan friendly.

Bingo on the camera comment from what I’ve heard from golf pros that know him.

I attended the FedEx tourneys a few times at Ridgewood CC. Great venue. They have 27 holes but customize an 18 for the tournament.

NJ golf fans should definitely attend this course ASAP.
