OT: Madison county residents! Hot item while it lasts

Today, after church, I was running some errands. Although, my pastor’s (Kyle York) sermon spoke to me, I was getting the post-daylight saving time Sunday blues—tomorrow is a work day. I’m making my way into the Academy Sports in Madison, and there it was. The heavens opened to shine the lights down on it.....Golden Tee! And it’s an arcade style console, although slightly smaller than original.
this game brings back great memories! I didn’t buy it today, but soon.
also, I must mention the table top PacMan game they had for sale!

I played one of the new smaller cabinets. The rollerball didn't have the same feel. Felt cheap.

ooh, that'd be dangerous to put in my basement. i would spend way too much time and probably start drinking again since i 100% played my best when drunk.


related note- my parents bought a pacman arcade cabinet a couple years ago and it sits against a wall in their living/dining room. Its hilarious to see that in the house of a couple 70yo folk. all the granddaughters loved playing it back when they were in the house frequently pre-covid.

My neighbor got one for Christmas last year. We played it a few times and everyone got bored. It was a great gift idea though. He list his mind Christmas morning and called everyone.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. THe nostalgia factor makes it appealing, but at the end of the day, would you rather be spinning that track ball or playing the latest and greatest golf game on whatever platform. Or hell, even the WI tiger woods game would probably have more staying power as far *** something to have at the house for guys to play while they're hanging out and drinking.
