Emergency room doc wouldn’t when I had my first. But there were some pill seekers in there when I went and I’m sure the attending physician was sick of it.

Got the script from my general practitioner the second go around. He saw I was in pretty bad shape and conceeded that he would rather me have that instead of pain meds. The wife is a BSN-RN and it eased any concerns he had that I may misuse it. I also think it is not near as potent as what I was given in the ER. I could be wrong. I only have taken one dose. I still have the rest for emergency.

CVS pharmacy compounded it. I don’t remember it being 200 bucks though. But when you need it.. it’s damn sure worth it.

Just had my gallbladder removed a few months ago. I had been bouncing around to my doc and heart specialists for chest pains since the spring. Finally somebody pulled a CT scan and discovered I had gallstones. It all made sense.

I had my first gallbladder attack in the summer of 2009 after eating Mexican food in Houston Tx. I thought I was on my deathbed in the hotel that night, about the time my wife was getting ready to take me to the ER, I let out a world class burp and was instantly relieved. So I chalked up to gas. Every 4-5 months since then, I would have a gallbladder attack. I would immediately get on my hands and knees and swallow air making myself burp about a thousand times... Some nights it would take 30 minutes, sometimes 3 hours, but I always got better.

So anyway, I never tell the doctor about it and just assume its gas pain. After the CT scan reveals a 2-3 cm gallstone and some smaller ones, the doc describes other symptoms. We nail down that what I had though were gas pains turned out to be several dozen gallstone attacks. It was effecting my entire GI tract and giving me chest pains that felt like mini heart attacks. I thought I was the biggest wimp, I mean how in the hell could gas pains hurt so bad?

Turns out I may have actually been on to something with the burping exercise. He thought it might be coincidence, but I may have filled up my stomach with enough air that it acted like an inflatable bladder that pushed the gallstones far enough away from the duct to let all of my bile release. Probably coincidence, but after every burp I always felt a moment of relief.

Anyhow, the gallbladder is gone. No chest pains. No attacks. I can eat whatever I want. I take excellent dumps (I did not realize that I had not taken a good one since the Bush administration was in charge.) It was life changing just to rid myself of the chest pains, all the other benefits were icing on the cake.
