Could see that 3 run HR coming a mile away once the rain started coming down with 2 out. Only hope now is postponed - but of course the skies and field will magically clear.

My real question (from 120 miles away) is why they started again when they must have known there was only a tiny window of time (and an ultimate total delay of more than 3-1/2 hours). If they'd waited it out, there's no way Collins would have stuck with Familia.

Postponed in the 9th inning? What rule book is that in?

They (the umpires) started again because they believed, justifiably in my opinion, that there was a reasonable chance to finish the game in that small window. The window was big enough for three batters. If Familia retires either of the first two, game is over.

Can't second guess the decision to stay with Familia. It's not like he sat in the dugout for 45 minutes and had to start it up again after eight warmup tosses. He had ample opportunity to get warm again under the watchful eyes of the coaches. They obviously thought he was good to go, as did he. **** happens. Some of us remember when relievers would routinely work both ends of doubleheaders.

If you don't want to bring back Familia, then which of the Torri do you choose to get the last out? Or do you prefer Gilmartin? Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

My bad on Parnell giving up the home run. It was Hansel and Grettle, after Parnell loaded the bases.

The only decision I will second guess is taking out Niese after 6 innings and 87 pitches. Jonathan Niese should be begging to be traded. Feel bad for him.

Sources: #Mets trying to land #Reds’ Bruce. Also exploring other options. Wheeler most likely would go to CIN and maybe one other piece.

@Buster_ESPN: Reds willing to trade Jay Bruce to the Mets for Zack Wheeler now. Worth watching over the next 20 hours.

True, but I am reading that the Mets would prefer to bring back someone who can play center. That said, that option may no longer be available to them.

Still waiting for this trade to be official, but if this goes through, it is on people. Exactly who I wanted...

wut?
Guy argues a called third strike and gets right up in the umpire's face and gets tossed when the Nats bench is depleted and they have no other outfielders. Always running his mouth.

I'm making fun of the attention the dude gets for his "perfect hair." Agree he's a **** waffle.

Wilmer Flores is now my favorite player (bar none). From that torture on Wednesday to this...awesome.

Very happy for Flores and great job by the pen on this night. Rest of the series sets up well for the Mets. But you have to score and you have to close no matter how good the starting pitching is.

No wrong answers, just opinions.....assume Wright and Cuddyer are healthy . Terry said Cespedes will play some CF. 3-4-5 is tough if you follow Collins L-R-L-R goal. Your lineup against Kershaw or Sherzer

Grandy
Wright
Murphy/Duda
Cespedes
Duda/Murphy
d'naurd
Cuddyer
Flores/Tejada

Bench.....Plawecki,Uribe,Johnson,Largares,Tejada/Flores......Campbell and Kirk sent down.

Cespedes in CF tonight. He has played there 75 times in his MLB career, but only nine times in 2014, and not at all in 2015.

Mr. i got thrown out of the opening game to help my team Harper can suck it. It would be so sweet to see him at Citi 10/2-10/4 hopefully for all the marbles and watch my Mets win the division the last weekend of the season.
