I have 10 year old Laphroig. It is amazing. I don't know if I would drink glasses of it though. :D

Never had the 16. The quarter cask is great and the 10 solid. Also had a bottle of their limited edition sherry cask (don’t remember the name, triple wood?). Islays are probably my second favorite after Speysides, esp. Aberlour.

Funny you mention Laphroig, been reading through a good book and it was mentioned randomly as one of the character's scotch of choice.

I'm more into bourbon myself, only scotches I've had are Deanston Virgin Oak (bleh!) and Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 year. The latter was a Valentine's day gift that I saved for the birth of my first son. Good stuff, at least to a bourbon drinker.

I prefer Bourbon too. But my daughter got me the Laphroig for Fathers day

Sipping on a Highland Park 12, at the moment. Possibly my favorite scotch.

I’m kind of off bourbon at the moment. So many are too similar. I love bourbons like Angels Envy and Makers 46 that are a little different, but I’ve been into a lot of American whiskeys like TX and Mitchners lately.

I also prefer the Islay malts - love the smokiness. Bowmore is my go to. If you ever get the chance to go to Edinburgh, go to the Scotch Heritage Museum on the Royal Mile. Every Scotch from every distillery in Scotland is available for sampling.

I haven't decided how I feel about it yet. Sampled it at the distillery and have a 375 ml bottle I got as part of a Christmas gift. I don't dislike it, but it's definitely not my go-to either. I do like it better than the regular Makers though, which was one of my faves when I started drinking bourbon. Woodford Reserve has been my go-to for a while now.

I like, and have, Woodford Reserve. I like 46 better. But I don't guzzle the stuff. My real love is with beer, especially German beer.
