OT kinda: Transfers during college

@dlh331 got me to wondering.
How many posters finished their degree in 3 or 4 years (straight) at the same university?
I transferred undergrad, and then grad transferred back to UK.
I know many who sat out a semester or two.
I understand it’s different for athletes; but just wondering.

UK, 4 years + a few summer sessions. Made it really easy to go with 12 credit hours during the normal semester then pick up a class or two in the summer (which I noticed seemed to be easier).

My athletic skills were not in demand lol

Transferred to finish my bachelor’s. In regards to players, I totally support guys wanting to play since they only get four years. Make the most out of college. It’s one of the most fun experiences.

I bombed out first year being lazy and partying too much. Literally just stopped going my second semester and never bothered to withdraw from classes. I sat out a few years, declared academic bankruptcy, returned to the same school and went start to finish in 3 years times going summers as well. Then waited a couple of years before going to law school. Completed that in 3 years time.

I always recommend high school graduates sit out a year or two and work to figure out what they really want to do and mature a bit. There are the select few that are mature enough out of high school. Those are becoming more and more rare.

Athletes do not transfer at a higher rate than normal students. Anyone criticizing these kids for transferring have absolutely zero perspective on life.

I went to NKU straight out of HS and graduated in 4.5 years with a bachelors degree. Looking back I wish I did take some time to decide if college was really the best choice for me. But you know peer pressure from parents and the stigma that if you dont go to college right after HS that you are seemed to be a failure, which is far from the truth. Im younger(27) but if the day comes and I have kids I will not be forcing them to go to college, especially if tuition rates continue to rise the way they are.

Bowling Green for undergrad in 4 years and then straight to grad school at Ball State for 2 years. Knew if I didn't go straight through, I would never go back.
