Great movie.. it wasn’t as good as the first (of course). It didn’t feel like a 3 hour movie .. went by fast.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but your view is in the minority. This is the best reviewed John Wick film by both critics and audiences. It's also well on its way to also being the highest grossing Wick film in the franchise.
Critics and box office? Yeah I tend to judge movies that way too.

Well obviously box office reflects the overall popularity of the movie. You may or may not agree with the overall opinion which is perfectly fine. But the majority of viewers have judged it a big success. That's all.

Saw this Sunday night. DANG! What a good movie. Obviously absurd (but that's the point with Wick) but man the choreography of the fight scenes and the cinematography work were just flat incredible.

It's been so successful they're actively looking at making #5.

Which is crazy since he died...but they're talking about writing a way out of that. Kind of annoying to me tho that they killed him anyway...which will probably ruin it for me if they try to bring him back.

The only way it could possibly work is if this is a prequel or something. Don't f'ing insult us and say he wasn't dead.

I dont like the kevlar suits. Even if they are bulletproof, theres still the kinetic force of the rounds. Turn off your brain and its a great action flick.

Not enough to make John Wick 4 > 1 🤣
The best scene in all 4 right here. At 1:44 in when he gives Josef the look of I just got through your dad's security in the club and can punch your card right now. But I'm gonna let you think about it awhile longer while I kill this guy. Priceless

Watched at Oak View's revamped theaters (B&B). Mistakenly chose a theater that had Closed Captioning turned on. Be sure to avoid that unless you are hard of hearing. Good, mindless action flick. Better than 2 & 3, but #1 still rules. Maybe hollyweird will take note and stop pushing socially aware flicks so we can get back to loving movies for the fun of it. Best two recent movies were Top Gun 2 and John Wick 4. Both embraced toxic masculinity and were fun. I hope the new Guardian's movie is great. The first two rocked!

I actually like the one just before that, which you mention earlier.

“He once was an associate of ours. They call him ‘Baba Yaga’.”

The scene in the chop-shop where Leguizamo lays it down, then tells Viggo about it is beautiful too.

Honestly, the first John Wick might be the perfect movie. For me, it’s tied with Heat for the top spot on my list.

I did like Viggo. He was a funny bad ***. Too bad he passed away in real life.

At the end, I was thinking they were setting it up for another movie, but with the black dude and his dog. It wouldn’t be John Wick anymore, so I don’t know how they get around that, but I would much rather have that than they bring him back to life.

I think it's already in the works. Wick 4 just topped 400 million. John Wick 5 will happen. Not sure what they will do now that he's settled up with the high table. John Wick 5? Just chilling with his dog? He still hasn't got his Mustang back yet?

He’s killed plenty of people, it won’t be hard to figure out an adversary for him. Maybe the French Fairy that he killed at the end will have somebody upset over that.

FWIW - A film that is very John Wick like is "Sisu". It is a film from Finland with English dialog that won't get a lot of traction or publicity in the U.S. But it's well done. It's the story of an old gold miner in the Lapland region of Finland during the latter days of World War II. The Nazis are retreating from Finland and leaving a "scorched earth" behind them. They encounter the old miner and try to seize his gold BUT through the course of the film he destroys them all. Bloody but heroic action. Not logical that one man could be such an incredible fighter against those odds but then neither is John Wick. Well done film. "Sisu" is a Finnish term which roughly equates to heroic and incredible bravery against incredible odds.

By the same token, if you love John Wick, and you haven’t seen The Equalizer, then you are missing out. The Equalizer 2 kinda sucks *** though.

And whoever mentioned Nobody in this thread was on the mark.

Thank you kind sirs. Trailer looks good.
IF you do want to see it in a theater, do so quickly because it is fewer theaters and won't stay in those theaters very long. We're into the summer blockbuster season beginning this weekend and films that don't have huge audiences will get evicted quickly by the blockbusters.

Equalizer 3 is coming this September. They showed that trailer before Sisu.
