Is there some kind of rule that during Cowboy games they must show him every time something happens with the cowboys?

He's interesting like being informed one has herpes would be interesting. Like being told one's plane has run out of fuel would be interesting. Like falling out of a Land Rover while on safari and surrounded by starving lions would be interesting.

The only thing great about him is that the Cowboys have sucked so often under his ownership.

Other than that, I have no problem with him at all. He's a swell guy.

He wants to win and will spend to do it. Unfortunately he has needed better talent evaluators around him since the golden Jimmy Johnson era. But the guy is driven.

I'm just always happy to see that he's running the show for the Cowboys. Ever since he decided that he won those super bowls and not Jimmy Johnson (and Barry Switzer on Johson's coattails), it's been perfect.

He gives interviews far more than probably all the other owners do so is the most recognized and fans have a love/hate relationship with his team.and him
Networks use that to make their coverage of Cowboy more interesting on the personal level
of how the NFL fans see the game and make sure they see the man that is loved/hated by viewers gets a lot of airtime because of the fans interest in him.
Many owners much rather shun the limelight, Jones just about demands it be shined on him and the networks oblige.
Others in the mist of problems try not to be seen and probably let that be known.
Jones relishes talking about problems his team and him are involved in and makes sure his POV is put out by him, not his spokesperson.
Networks know he's part of the attraction to cowboys by football fans and make sure his recations during the game is made part of game coverage
