I didn't know much about him, but it's always good to read about area legends. Who was that other Philly radio legend who passed away a year or two ago? I didn't know much about him either, but after reading more about him, he seemed like an interesting guy.

What an institution he was. Our shore house is a block from Memories in Margate, we used to see Jerry all the time. Funny thing is I have actually never been in Memories, even though we have been in Margate for 25 years.

Blavat was definitely mixed up with the mob. The other dj was probably Sid mark who’s sounds of Sinatra was a delight for 60 some odd years
