Screwball is on Netflix. It’s the documentary about the steroid mill down in Miami that Manny & A-Rod used. Pretty ridiculous operation

The Wire is the standard by which all shows should be measured. You should do this one first and be sure to not get frustrated with the amount of characters you get. About episode 7 or 8 of that first season it all starts to click and then the show is pretty phenomenal from there on out. A lot of folks slam season 2 cause it diverts from the streets somewhat, but I really enjoyed it and thought it was important for the story, in particular for a character that shows up in season 3. Seasons 3 and 4 are the best 2 seasons in TV history in my opinion.

Another show that my wife and I just finished is The Americans. It was a very solid 6 seasons and had one of the more satisfying endings of any TV shows I've ever watched.

I'm 3 episodes in on your advice. Pretty good so far.

I started Ray Donovan and can't get enough. I didn't know Jon Voight was in it, one of my favs. Another up all night series for me. I've tried Boardwalk Empire 3 different times and it just hasn't hooked me, and I really like Steve Buscemi.

I watched Boardwalk Empire and it was fine, but I definitely never understood the fuss over it. It was nothing more than average to me.

I also don't understand what puts Breaking Bad at the top of so many people's list. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was awesome, but there seem to be a ton of people that have it as their favorite series ever by a long shot. There are a bunch of series that I liked better, but to each their own I guess.

On your advise, I binged the first 6 episodes the other night and will start episode 7 tonight.....I can tell it’s building and look forward to knocking out 5 or 6 episodes tonight.

The last episode of The Americans is a high point of American television. Watch the FBI agent's love interest change her facial expression at the very end. Subtle and chilling. Great music throughout too.

Peaky Blinders, Vikings, and Sneaky Pete are all top shelf shows. I am not much into the super hero stuff, and every movie that comes out now is some kind of super hero remake. Also, if you have not seen the The Deuce ........start it now! 1970 in NYC/ porn business industry theme.
