What's the difference between the Pixel hardware and the iPhone hardware?$649 is way too much for the Pixel. I would prefer to use the Google environment. Apart from the camera, just don't think the hardware is worth the cost.

Not sure, but the Pixel is interesting enough that I would consider it on its next release (also times up with when my iPhone deal is up for renewal). What's the difference between the Pixel hardware and the iPhone hardware?
Right now our family is due for two upgrades. One will be regular phone (Samsung Brightside) to smart and the other will be smart (iPhone 5s) to smart. He said either one of the upgrades is good for a free SE.What are you saying?
If you turn your phone in (what kind?), you get a free SE?
Thanks
The quick charge capability of this latest generation of phones is pretty awesome. The note 7 charges very quickly. Only downside with the note is that, you know, it explodes now and then.
The V20 is going to be in Verizon stores on the 27th, so I'll head down and do a hands on comparison w/the Pixel XL. Then I'll order one or the other.
@OTBOTOR
Bose quiet comfort 35 noise canceling Bluetooth over ear headphones work great and have high battery life. I use them all the time at work and home.
Bonus is that with them on, you have less people bothering you. So they're great for developers/software engineers especially when you couple their noise canceling capabilities.
Their cost is not too bad at only $350
Personally, I do not regret the purchase. They pay for themselves in productivity.

I will post back when I decide.Would like to hear your thoughts on the two once you do the comparison.
I think TMobile started that and as has been the case with other offerings on pricing etc..the big guys like Verizon/ATT have to follow suit to some degree because they're losing customers and not growing as fast. I think Verizon has month to month rollover data as well now, I believe ATT already has that. So any unused data from the previous month can be rolled over to the next month but then expires after.I see that Verizon's new plans have it such you basically can have unlimited data - after you run out of data for the month, it's switches to a lower 3G speed. Not sure if that's significant or not.

I'm the reverse of the poster above, thinking about going from ATT to Verizon. I'm not all that happy with the spotty service I get but it does seem to be improving lately. Still under contract through January but after that I'll have to think about. Might wait a year though as I'm thinking of upgrading when the iPhone 8 comes out then just switch the phone and the service all at once.
Thanks for the heads up. I have Fios now and I've dealt with their customer service and while nothing to write home about I can't say they were terrible or any worse than others. My household isn't filled with big data users that much anyway so hopefully I should be okay with that issue. I'm more concerned with service, as soon as I go into many buildings the service can be spotty. Lately, I've seen ATT Wifi fix some of that issue but still eh. Not big users but when we do I'd like it to work. Still on the fence about switching but it's on my mind.Just a word of caution. I spent a lot of money with them and I have found their customer service to be horrible. They never did get to the bottom of apps that were draining data on my kids phones (while they were asleep) and we had to put a cap on the data since none of their technicians could fix the problems....after wasting many hours of my time. I have not called them much over the years but their poor customer service occurred every time. Letting me know that I could have gotten a break on data over the past year only after I spent the money was the icing on the cake.
I'm sure others have had the opposite experience....just my two cents. Glad to be done with them.

As to your kids' phones being drained of data while sleeping (basically in the home) why not have your devices automatically switch to your home's wifi as soon as you/they get home. All our devices are set up like that, even when we go to relatives' houses too. It doesn't really help identify which app is draining the data but it should stop the data usage on your carrier.
I'm on AT&T, but did notice when traveling recently to less populated areas that people with Verizon tended to get a better signal than I did. I had Sprint previously and AT&T a massive step-up from them...but seems a little behind on Verizon (although still plenty good enough for me 98% of the time). Thanks for the heads up. No problem, it's probably one of the reasons I can say we're not big data users because anything done at home is going through Fios (cable provider) and not ATT (wireless provider). Now some day in the future the cable providers might start charging based on usage too but not now at least. Thanks for the advice.

What Verizon plan makes you "due for an upgrade" after 13 months?Due for an upgrade...Verizon. Currently have the 6s and am thinking about going with the bigger sized 7 plus....anyone have the 7 plus and what do you think?
