Due for an upgrade...Verizon. Currently have the 6s and am thinking about going with the bigger sized 7 plus....anyone have the 7 plus and what do you think?

They seem good conceptually, but I don't know how anyone puts it in their pants pocket.
What is the cost? I'm long overdue for upgrade- my phone is over 4 years old, but still happy with it.
I just got it in Mid October and I love it I was skeptical at first because of the bigger phone but it is great as the screen is much larger and now seeing the Iphone 6 it looks so small.
Also, the camera and battery life are much improved. I can use my phone all day and it still doesnt drain my battery completely like the I6 did.
I also upgraded with Verizon and they are giving me a $650 rebate for turning in my old I6 so really this was a no brainer

I don't have the 7+, but the 6s+. My wife has the 6...love mine, don't like hers as much. That being said, I would chose the PLUS every time based on battery life alone. Now, if you switch the battery life and nothing else, I would seriously consider the non-PLUS.

have the 6+ and will only say I love it, but it's so big and one handed use is difficult. Considering going to the regular 7 but my eyes at 45 aint what they used to be.
I need to replace my apparently explosive Galaxy Note 7. Considered the iPhone 7 Plus, but the lack of a headphone jack kind of sucks. Guess I'm a Luddite.
I still have an old 5s. I don't like 6 varieties and the lack of headphone jack on the 7 pisses me off. You can't listen to music while you charge your phone (which I do at work), nor can you keep your phone plugged into an aux battery while you stream the Rutgers game through your headphones when you're out and about. And I don't welcome the bluetooth earbuds because:
(A) that's just one more device you need to keep charged up at all times;
(B) the battery life on those suck; and
(C) traditional earbuds or headphones are the international "don't talk to me" sign when you're walking down the street or standing on the train.
I'm going to keep the 5s as long as I can, and maybe a future version of the SE down the road will be enough of an upgrade in processing power to make a trade worthwhile.

Pretty much my take on the lack of a headphone jack. I also hate that you cannot replace the battery, although plenty of Android devices (which I prefer) have gone that route recently too. Planned obsolescence.
The headphone jack thing is not an issue. they give you a small cord that is used for the headphone jack and plus into the lightening jack. The only issue that could occur is IF you want to charge the phone and listen to music at the same time with wired headphones. I see this as a rarity though and non issue

I have been. Likely will be that or LG V20. TBH, I really like the Note 7 and will be sad to see it go.
Or you can just get bluetooth headphones since it's 2016
The headphone jack is not an issue. I'm told you can just drill a small hole in the iPhone where the jack would normally be and you're good to go.

No thanks. See points A-C again. They're in no way an improvement, just an inconvenience with poor battery life.
The SE is a 5s body with 6s "innerds." In that way it's a step up from the 5s but not enough to shell out any dough for. My 5s is still sufficient. If the next SE version has 7s power I'll probably upgrade to that.
If subpar sound quality is what we expect in 2016, sure we'll do that.
I can't think of something more annoying than wired headphones. Especially if you exercise.
My bluetooth earbuds have better sound quality than any wired ones I've had. Not to mention most high end noise cancelling headphones are now bluetooth.

Bose quiet comfort 35 noise canceling Bluetooth over ear headphones work great and have high battery life. I use them all the time at work and home.
Bonus is that with them on, you have less people bothering you. So they're great for developers/software engineers especially when you couple their noise canceling capabilities.
Their cost is not too bad at only $350
Personally, I do not regret the purchase. They pay for themselves in productivity.

I got LG's G5. It's awesome. The bottom of the phone has a slideout tray so you can change the battery on the go, it has two rear cameras, one of which is a 135 degree wide angle, they make a wireless VR headset and sweet wireless headphones. The charging technology is Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0, my battery charges up in less than half an hour. When I bought the phone, I meant to get the charging pack and extra battery, but I just haven't seen a need for it, even going camping for a weekend.
The quick charge capability of this latest generation of phones is pretty awesome. The note 7 charges very quickly. Only downside with the note is that, you know, it explodes now and then.
The V20 is going to be in Verizon stores on the 27th, so I'll head down and do a hands on comparison w/the Pixel XL. Then I'll order one or the other.
To those who are critiquing Bluetooth headphones, note...there really are some great ones out there that has great sound and battery life. The problem though is that they are not near the price point of simple wired earbuds, of course. You can buy sufficient wired for under $30 easily, whereas a quality, worthwhile and respectable Bluetooth one easily goes over $100.
They come in all shapes and sizes and features and depends on what you're looking for. I like to go running, so I bought some Jaybirds which have been good to me for probably a year now. As someone else said, I'm sure Bose has some nice ones too.

Was thinking of upgrading (have an iPhone 6) but decided to wait for the 10th anniversary iPhone release next year. Still not sure about the plus size with the keys/wallet I carry in my front pockets, the 6 is a tight fit as is, don't wear super slim pants either.
I thought the removal of the head phone jack was to improve water resistance. I'd guess the trend would be towards that in future if the manufacturers want their new models to have that feature.

Just traded in my Note 4 for an iPhone 7 plus and I love it. The last iPhone I owned was the 5 and after that I switched to Samsung and owned a few Notes and swore off Apple ever since. I wanted the Note 7 but since it is has too many issues, here I am back with Apple. IMO the headphone jack is a non issue as you are given an adapter but I prefer wireless headphones anyway. It is a tad heavier than I expected but overall a great phone. I really like the haptic feedback with the home button.
$649 is way too much for the Pixel. I would prefer to use the Google environment. Apart from the camera, just don't think the hardware is worth the cost.
