I've read electric cars can accelerate very fast (Musk went 0-60 in four seconds when first showing to investors).
In any case, I am a FIRM believer in never being an early adopter (from 20 yrs of assembling my own PCs).

The short takeoff isn't that impressive. What's really impressive is the minimal speed needed for take off! That's impressive!!!
